The Video Game History Foundation recently put together an absolutely fascinating video on the lost stages of the Sega classic Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It includes partial recreations of some of those cut levels, which have never been seen before. Definitely worth a look!

The Video Game History Foundation (VGHF) has officially launched early access to its Digital Library as of January 30, 2025, offering free online access to over 1,500 rare #VideoGame history materials.
The collection includes out-of-print magazines, press kits, promotional content, and never-before-seen game development documents. At launch, the library features six highlighted collections, such as guidebooks from # the first 12 years of #E3, a vast archive from #GamePro magazine, and behind-the-scenes Myst development footage. Fully searchable and designed for researchers, journalists, and gaming enthusiasts, the Digital Library aims to preserve and share #Gaming history.
While access is complimentary, the VGHF relies on Patreon donations to expand its archives and maintain the growing demand for this invaluable resource.
