Steven is champion for 3 years and on going. He has a passion for exploring and battling and doesn't have much interest in running the Devon corporation, but he is the biggest supporter of his father and the corp.

Though he is 18, the plot of Alpha Sapphire still does occur. He meets Orlando, May, and Wally and assists them on their journey frequently. The events have very recently been resolved.

He has not been challenged for his position by the trio yet (and out of the three, Wally is the most likely to challenge him).

May and Orlando become pokemon rangers, though in the distant future, May intends to succeed her father as the next in line Professor through her experiences and growth as a ranger.

Wallace(21) is a little more like his Anime counterpart, though he is still a fearsome Gym leader. *Lisia is 13 and still his niece. He and Steven are still very close friends.

Steven bonded the most with Orlando(16), while May(16) bonded most with Wally(14). However, the three are all good friends.

The only other region Steven has been to thusfar is Johto at the age of 16. There he met Ethan and Lyra. He gave him a Beldum and Lyra a a Mudkip.  He also met Cynthia during that trip.

In this timeline, Hoenn has a historic relationship with Kalos, hence mega stones being scattered through the region and it not being a foreign concept to him or researchers/serious trainers.

Though he had Metagross(Campbell) as a Beldum since he was 6, he did not begin to battle with him until he was 14, and achieved mega evolution with Camp at 16 when he almost lost his position as champion. The two were intensely synched for it to happen then. He cannot mega evolve his Metagross on a whim just yet like Orlando can, he and his Metagross, though strong, haven't reached the maturity for it to come on command yet.  **Neither has Orlando, but Orlando is very fiery and emotionally driven. He is a bigger battler at heart.

In this timeline/universe, on average, trainers set out on their journies at 14, the exception to this is Red, Green, Ethan, and May. All because the four were agents of professors.

I cry as I raise my hands to the sky to bring forth the power to summon my beloved Queen in my time of need. She would be able to crush that pink pest, seeing as I cannot. Watching the glowing portal open up above me and the familiar, wasp-like form gently lower before me, I light up with hope.

"Oh, glorious Sectonia! Please! Come to my resc--..."

The way she looked at me halted my words. Her eyes held such disappointment, just staring down at me like I was dirt. What...what was wrong? Have I upset her?

"Your Majesty...? I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to displease you, Its all my fau--"

I had no time to react when she raised her scepter which was lit brightly with power. The last thing I saw was her hateful gaze before a blast collided with me, the force of it sending my form flying off into the distance as my own agonized shriek echoed out through the heavens.

The confusion and burning pain still lingering made it impossible to stop myself from falling. I could only watch as I rushed past the clouds, knowing I was falling towards the earth thousands and thousands of feet below.

"...Wh-why...?"

I didn't understand... Why would she do this? To her own best friend...even...son... She promised she would never hurt me... Was it all...lies? Why? Not only did my body hurt, but now my heart did too. Was it breaking? Was this what it felt like? Why would she do this to me? Am I no longer worthy of her? Maybe so. 

My... My mistake... Oh, I was a fool. I should've done more research on the lower world... If I had, I would have known who to go for. Was this why she no longer wants me? Because I failed? I'm such an imbecile... I'm so sorry my Queen... I'm so, so sorry... I didn't mean to... I'm sorry...

The salty tears slipped from my eyes and continued to pour into the air. Maybe its best to just let myself fall... Not even my best friend wants me anymore... What if she never wanted me? But then why did she take care of me? No... That day when she started acting strange... Maybe...something got to her, and I was too stupid to notice until she was too far gone.  I'm so...idiotic...naive... I should've known something was wrong with her... Maybe if I can stop her, I can talk some sense into her... Maybe I can still get her back.

With the new found determination and will to live, I tried to think of how to help myself out of this terrifying fall. My gaze caught sight of the towering Dreamstalk and I strained to bring my hands over to aim at it. As weak as I felt, I managed to shoot a web at the stalk and held tightly onto the thread as my fall abruptly stopped and I found myself knocked into the side of the stalk. I just hung there for a few minutes, trying to recollect and stable myself. The pain was still there, but it was bearable at least. I looked up slowly. It would take a bit of time to get back, especially in the state I was in, but I had to... I had to at least try to get Sectonia back.

"To think that you've made it this far... Aren't you a persistent little thing? Managing to get here is a true feat for anyone as puny as you. I simply can't understand..."

I only shrug as I move closer to the Puffball staring at me with the innocence of a child. Perhaps he was... But if that's so...it just makes it even harder to wrap my head around. How could it be possible for a silly child to get this far?

"But even you will kneel before us..." I felt the corner of my mouth twitch as a cruel grin was slowly forming while I spoke, looming over the young one. "I, Taranza, cannot allow you to interfere with Queen Sectonia's plans..."

Backing up, I bring the orb containing the hero down to my side. As I stare at the drained King inside, gently placing a hand on the glass-like energy trapping him, I think about the wonderful job I've done. I hope my Queen will be proud of me, and maybe she will act as she once was again. Oh, I do hope so...

"Let me guess... You're here to save the hero of the lower world." I turn back to the small Puffball, who appeared to have a surprising fire in his eyes at the sight of the hero hovering at my side. Despite him being as young as I think him to be, it reminds me I should not underestimate him again. I only glare back hatefully as I explain.

"The people of this land thought they were clever. They thought they could use the Dreamstalk to save their world."

I felt a childish spark in me and I broke into a little giggle before continuing, "But I saw right through their plan... Ahh... Well, since you're already here... I'll give you your precious hero back."

While releasing the hero from his prison and working my magic into his surprisingly fragile mind, I think to myself... What reward awaits me when I complete my mission?
