Every single person is valuable in God’s eyes; He created us in His image and He loves us. But no one is righteous, meaning no one can earn right standing with God. Yes, we are valuable but we have also fallen into sin in this broken world and separated ourselves from Him. But God, through Jesus His Son, has redeemed us and offers the forgiveness of all our sins if we return to Him in faith. ✝️
The Apostle Paul uses many references (keep reading through verse 18 for more of these) to show that humanity in general, in its present sinful condition, is unacceptable before God. Have you ever thought to yourself, “Well, I’m not too bad. I’m a pretty good person”? I know I'm Guilty of this. If we look at these verses (take the time to find and read through 18 as well) and we’re honest with ourselves, many of them apply to us, if not all of them. Have you ever lied? Have you ever hurt someone with your words or even just your tone of voice? Are you bitter toward anyone? Do you get upset when someone disagrees with you? In thought, word, and deed (action), you, me, and everyone else in the world, stand guilty before God. We have to remember who we are in His sight—alienated sinners. Don’t deny that you and I are sinners. Instead, we must allow our desperate need to point us towards Christ. Amen?

#Colossians #Chapter3 #Verse12 - Here Paul talks about what we as Christians should do, and how we are called to live. He starts this verse with, "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy & dearly loved..." And its amazing to hear & read now that we are part of His chosen people. Our debt was paid and we are welcomed into the family of God because of Jesus Christ & His sacrifice. We are holy and dearly loved by God. Amen! In this verse Paul is offering us a strategy to help live for God day by day. We need to imitate Christ's compassion (forgiving attitude), let love guide our lives, and the peace of Jesus rule in our hearts.
