girl on a mission || luca and sydney
There were nights where Sydney was paranoid, and then there were nights were Sydney was extremely paranoid. This night fell in the second category of the two. Sometimes, she really hated the time schedule which vampires ran on. Although, as a part of her training, she'd been taught to survive on both normal and nocturnal schedules, she didn't really appreciate it. Wide eyed and alert she may be, but she didn't like dealing with Moroi and dhampirs with the added danger of a Strigoi running out and attacking her. She often wondered why Moroi and dhampirs didn't switch to a normal human schedule. Of course, there was the bit where the Moroi were sensitive to sunlight...but if they stuck to less sunny geographical areas then maybe they'd be much safer than they were now.
As she walked down the strategically picked crowded street, she felt her heart pounding faster. This was her first real mission. She'd worked at the Moroi court for a while, but this a solo field mission. She was nervous. It didn't help that, at the back of her mind, she was also planning on finding Abe Mazur, a notorious, underworld don of sorts, and also the only one capable of giving her what she needed. Resetting her watch, for the seventh time in the last hour, and pushing back a nonexistent strand of hair into her neat ponytail, she meandered outside the popular Moroi club where she was hoping to run into somebody who could help her. She just had to wait.
