In just a half hour Versailles-Philharmonic Quintet will be performing their last show ever~!
ヽ(●゚´Д`゚●)ノ゚
Originally they said it was just a hiatus but it looks more permanent with every post~ (╯△╰,)
I've never been a fan of J-rock but when I saw their debut live in June of 2007 I fell in love instantly! ヽ(○´∀`)ノ♪
I went to all of their shows that summer! <3 Someone in the band would always notice me and point me out as I was one of the few foreigners at their shows and I had bright orange hair at the time so I really stood out! lol I eventually became the leader of the American Fan Page and Street team~ It was an amazing experience!
I also met my good friend Titinan at a Versailles live! We are still friends to this day!
It's hard to believe it's already been 5 years! (✿ノ゚Д゚)八(゚Д゚ ✿)ノ
In August of 2009 I was becoming sad because Versailles' had gone major label and would talk to me less and less~ I was being understanding because I knew they would be busy at this time and I was happy they were becoming successful but then later that same year the bassist, Jasmine Yuu, passed away and I was completely heartbroken~ He replied to my e-mails the most~ I didn't like that Versailles' continued on so soon after he passed! I ceased all club activities from then on~
It took me a long time to get over but I still loved Versailles' music so I started supporting them again but not to the crazy amount I had in the past~
ε-(´・`) Even now I prefer their old songs in comparison to their new songs~
Forever my favorite song is the song I posted here! The Revenant Choir! It was the first song I ever heard from them! (ノ´▽`)ノ♪ the performance blew me away! Haha also in the early days they only had like 5 songs so they would perform this song for the beginning AND end of all their lives! xD;
I so glad I was able to score tickets to their sold-out live in Yokohama this past May~ but I didn't think it would be my last time seeing them~!! ヽ(´□`。)ノ
I may not like them as much as I did but they are still my all time favorite band!!! ヽ(;▽;)ノ

An Important Announcement From Versailles:
Dear Enduring, Loyal Supporters,
We would like to announce that Versailles has decided to stop all activities by the closing of the year.
Being our 5th anniversary -- and without a clear direction heading into the future – we have decided it was in the best interest of the band and the music, our staff and supporters, in order to pursue our artistic and personal goals outside the current framework, to stop all our activities by the end of 2012.
Since the beginning the “ROSE” has played a central role, both thematically and symbolically, for Versailles. The “ROSE”, which is also the title song of their 5th anniversary single, is about birth, becoming and being – in short, their story to the world.
The band will release their farewell album September 26th and tour domestically soon afterwards. On December 20th, Versailles will have their grand finale which be performed at NHK Hall in Tokyo.
Please come and show your support to Versailles and their final journey.
