Taking time for herself wasn’t something Olivia did and when she actually got the opportunity, she was rarely sure of what to do.
Which led her to where she was currently, a rock in one hand, arm craned back as she aimed carefully. She launched her arm forward, watching the rock as it soared through the air and bounced off the hood of the rusted, car that had been taken over by plants. She cursed beneath her breath before reaching to pick up another nearby rock.
Her machete was for once not on her, laying against one of the few trees behind her. She never was particularly good with her aim, there was a reason she never carried around a bow. Olivia was a melee combatant for a reason; of course, she knew how to use a gun and could if her life depended on it but she was much deadlier up close. This time; the rock hit her target which had been the windshield but to her disappointment, it only bounced off of it; leaving a small crack in the glass. Her brow furrowed, muttering disappointed phrases beneath her breath.
Slowly, she lowered herself onto the side of the grassy bank she sat on, arms resting on her knees as she stared blankly ahead of her. Her mind wasn’t loud and raging as it usually was, full of angry thoughts, worries for her home and family. It was quiet, mimicking the near-silent landscape around her and god, was she ever thankful for that.
