5. How many words can you write if you sit down and concentrate intensely for an hour?

1000 probably though it’s been a long time since I tried this. I should clarify these are strictly first-draft words. closer to 500 or less if I’m revising as I go.

10. What inspires you the most?

I have no idea. I’m not sure if this is what the question means, but some of my fic ideas are inspired by missing scenes or connections that I want to explore further. Gaps, holes, unanswered questions or murky motivations.

15. Your guilty writing pleasure?

Too much time with the thesaurus, probably. I like finding words with exactly the connotation I want, although the result can end up sounding pedantic or overwrought especially since I also enjoy stringing together verbs and adjectives in sets of three.

20. 4 sentences from your work that you’re proud of

Sherlock unbuttoned his collar and let lose a long sigh as he slumped on the couch in his room. He’d heard the shower run briefly an hour ago but nothing from the second floor since. The brownstone’s solid presence felt like home again, no longer the baleful vacant shell of the past two days. Mycroft’s noxious fumes were finally dissipating now that his goons had escorted him back to their lair. They’d have to meet once more for the debrief with the handler, but the end was in sight: once these loose threads were cauterized, he and Watson would go back to how they’d been before that ass invited himself to dinner.—from Aberglaube
