I'D LOVE TO! i think VBTS would most definitely be in an animated format if it was made into an actual show people can watch.

A LOT of sudden twists and turns. i like to think of the first 6 episodes setting up and getting you guys more comfortable for what is going to come in Venom Basketball: A Journey's End.

NOTE/UPDATE ON VBTS: i see a lot of askbox questions asking is A Journey's End apart of Season 4 and just want to clarify this in one single post: kinda lol. A Journey's End can act as a separate thing from Season 4 but it's still apart of Season 4 cause it's the final resolution of VBTS as a whole.

Venom Basketball: A Journey's End is a multi-part finale event to Venom Basketball: The Series that will drop across late 2025. i don't want to give out the full episode count of A Journey's End cause, yes, i want you all to be on the edge of your seats with each episode release of A Journey's End - i'm evil hehehhe >:) -

Season 4 though, will drop in early 2025 with the midseason finale being Episode 21 (you'll see why) which will lead Season 4 into a short hiatus into the last two episodes of Season 4 which will return the summer of 2025 if that makes any sense lolllll.

Venom Basketball: The Series has been renewed for a fourth and final season, coming soon to Happystick Stories.

hi and thanks!!! :D this is a really frequent question i get so here’s my full explanation for all:

around season 1, i wondered what if i implemented more mature topics in the series and that’s where the del x owen arc came from in episode 3 and wanted to at least dip my fingers into that type of stuff, the first “topic” being explored was boundaries and why they should be respected. after that episode, i found myself feeling resolved?

idk how to explain it but using some of my own experiences for a story arc felt refreshing and the feedback on season 1 and the two awards i won for it gave me a sign that i have potential to tell more emotionally powerful stories, even within vbts which began as a silly lighthearted series back in 2022.

when it got around to conceptualizing season 2, i wanted to expand on that emotional maturity aspect of the show more. not to say that i wanted to intentionally make VBTS too depressing for everyone to read but wanted the series to have some sort of emotionally mature story for the characters and by extension, everyone who has dealt with issues shown in VBTS to be noticed and represented by and taken in the most serious light. (i.e. dom’s backstory involving and dealing with domestic abuse)

and yeah, i do get comments saying that the “angst” isn’t required all the time in episodes and feels forced (mostly towards the late season 2 episodes and majority of season 3) but still, it’s genuinely made me so happy to see people reach out to me saying they felt seen and tell me about their experiences with panic attacks, depression, mental health issues, domestic and child abuse and how i accurately portrayed these topics in the series and some of these issues, i dealt with myself.

balancing and finding its tone throughout making all three seasons has been difficult but neccessary and i hope people will continue to enjoy VBTS through its end despite this.
