Iâve just really been stuck with the idea of Ocelot sort of falling for Venom, even after TPP, when they are still working together. Just... I can only imagine the internal conflict. He can have this fairly nice, soft spoken, gentle version of BB, who has a decent amount of the same memories (seeing as he was the one who implanted them, though they may be a bit -- skewered in his favor). He can have him, and he might let him get closer than his Big Boss. Might let him in emotionally, or even physically, in ways that  he knows he will never have with HIS Big Boss. He doesnât even mind that Venom is in love with Quiet. Heâs had to share before. He can do that.Â
But just that conflict of remaining loyal versus finally allowing himself to have something nice and selfish for a change. Not to mention Big Boss wouldnât likely be happy if he found out how loyal Ocelot wished to be to Venom... regardless of any subtext in their relationship, at this point in time, Big Boss doesnât take betrayal lightly. Especially not from someone he trusts as much as Ocelot.
So cue another several years of Ocelot internal conflict.
