Hello luv, I hope you like the gift! I really tried to write that angsty fic you mentioned in your âlikesâ, but Iâm really bad at writing angst and I honestly felt like whatever I had written looked really bad. I ended up writing a coffee shop au instead. Iâve never written any coffee shop aus before so I hope I havenât done a terrible job. I hope you donât cringe at the use of their given names, Iâve never understood the concept of courtesy names, and Iâm not sure if theyâre still in use in modern times. And I have used quite a few parentheses, as well as dialogues. I do wish itâs up to mark, and you find it satisfactory.

Lan Zhan Meets Coffee
Lan Zhanâs drinking coffee? What?
Lan Huan was confused. Lan Zhan had a coffee in his hand. Lan Zhan hates coffee with a seething passion. If anyone asked Lan Huan, he would tell them that Lan Zhan would rather be cooked and then fed to rats than drink a cup of coffee. Lan Zhan had always run away at even the slightest mention of coffee. Lan Zhan and coffee is a big no-no, has always been a big no-no, and will forever be a big no-no.
But here they were, staring at each other in the middle of their uncleâs living room, and Lan Zhan had a coffee in his hand.
Within the five seconds that Lan Huan had been staring at Lan Zhan (and the coffee in his hand what the fuck-), Lan Zhan proceeded to put the paper cup to his mouth and take a long, loud sip from it. Lan Huan took a step back. Lan Zhan raised an eyebrow, ever so elegantly. He almost seemed amused, as if he were laughing at Lan Huan. Looking at the expression on his face, he might as well be. The corners of his lips were turned up, and the glint in his eyes screamed out his glee.
âI wanted to try it.â
Lan Huan watched in horror as Lan Zhan took another sip from his cup. He wanted to scream or cry, or both. Probably both. He settled for laughing instead. The laugh could have ranged anywhere from jovial to maniacal. Lan Huan had always doubted if anyone other than him could tell. (Lan Zhan always could)
âA-Zhan. Since when have you started drinking coffee?â
Lan Zhan shrugged. He shrugged. Lan Huan hadnât even known Lan Zhan knew what a shrug was, let alone carrying out the action himself.Â
âItâs been a few weeks. Nie Huaisang took me to a new shop.â
That statement confused Lan Huan even further. Lan Zhan was never able to get along well with Nie Huaisang. Theyâd grown up around each other, but Lan Zhan found Nie Huaisang to be too outgoing. They had nearly nothing in common. To know that Lan Zhan and Nie Huaisang have not only been getting along well, but also been hanging out together outside of Lan Huan and Nie Mingjueâs influence makes Lan Huanâs heart soar with joy.
âItâs great to know you and A-Sang are getting along. How often have you been meeting up at this shop?â
Lan Zhan looked puzzled. He tilted his head to the left, it was slight, but still there. âWe havenât.â
What.
His confusion must have shown on his face (again) because the next thing Lan Zhan said was, âI go by myself.â
Lan Huan let out a sharp breath, âA-Zhan. Why?â
Lan Zhan shrugged. Again. Lan Huan felt a small tear fall out of his eye. He felt as if he was going crazy, and all his questions were left unanswered.
âDo you want to go?â
Lan Huan perked up slightly, âTo the coffee shop?â
Lan Zhan looked happy, it was adorable. Lan Huan let his smile widen, âYou must like the bunnies a lot then?â
âMn.â
âI would love to go with you.â
â
Lan Qiren walked into his living room expecting to find his two nephews. There was no one there. He sighed and checked his phone. Lan Huan sent him a message 12 minutes ago, âA-Zhanâs taking me to a bunny cafe! Weâll be back in time for dinner âȘ(ÂŽâœïœ)â
Wei Ying was 99% sure Lan Zhan hated him. He was just glad that the bunnies and the coffee were enough of a reason for Lan Zhan to keep coming by. He was just glad that all his flirting wasnât enough of a reason to drive him away. He couldnât help it, he really couldnât! Lan Zhan was just so pretty the words flew out of his mouth. And the way Lan Zhanâs ears turned red everytime he said something? Wei Ying knew he was embarrassing him, but it was just addicting. It was adorable.
Lan Zhan came in with his brother today. Lan Huan was also rather hot, Wei Ying supposed it had to be the genes, although Lan Zhan was much hotter. Everything about Lan Huan seemed more expressive. Where Lan Zhan showcases his emotions through small twitches of his lips, through the shape of his eyes, Lan Huan seems to broadcast his emotions freely, with warm smiles and eyes open in awe. It was cute, although Lan Zhan was much cuter.
Maybe Wei Ying was slowly falling in love with Lan Zhan. But Wei Ying can't ruin whatever they have between them. Lan Zhan single handedly makes up 60% of all of Wei Ying's income. That is a lot of money. If this continues, and the business doesn't grow any further than it is now, Lan Zhan will be the only thing keeping the business afloat. Wei Ying needs him.
But when Lan Zhan smiles at him, he can't help but fantasise what it would be like to feel Lan Zhan's lips on his.
And then Nie Huaisang throws open the doors. âHuan-ge! You called me? Hi Yingying, I haven't seen you in a while!â
Wei Ying grinned, Huaisang was always a delight. He was like one of those cute little fat snakes that people kept as pets. Wei Ying called out to him as Nie Huaisang beelined towards Lan Huan, âAww, did you miss me? I've missed you more than my little heart could possibly take! We haven't seen each other in two whole days!â
His voice was met with peals of laughter. Wei Ying really did love Huaisang, they really could just vibe together. It was amazing.
Lan Zhan was looking at them weirdly, but he quickly went back to playing with the bunny heâd sat on his lap. He was one of the more extroverted ones, he loved being around customers, always waiting for a chance to be the centre of attention. Wei Ying always thought it was funny how he always gravitated towards Lan Zhan; they were polar opposites.
More customers walked in just then. Wei Ying greeted them with a smile, he couldnât just fixate all his attention onto Lan Zhan, he had a business to run after all.
â
Lan Huan was confident Lan Zhan had a crush on Wei Ying. From the moment they walked in the doors Lan Zhan directed all his attention towards Wei Ying. Every single second Wei Ying wasnât looking towards Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan was looking towards Wei Ying. And with the amount Wei Ying was looking towards Lan Zhan, Lan Huan was almost certain the crush was reciprocated.
But it could just be that Lan Zhanâs a high paying customer, and Wei Ying wants to get on his good side. Not that Wei Ying could ever get on Lan Zhanâs bad side. One thing Lan Huan knows for certain is that when Lan men fall, they fall. And they canât get back up.
And so Lan Huan called up the person that got everyone into this mess in the first place.
Nie Huaisang.
âHuan-ge! You called me? Hi Yingying, I haven't seen you in a while!â
And so Nie Huaisang was familiar with Wei Ying. This is good. Lan Huan was worried that maybe Nie Huaisang had found this place on a whim, that he had no connection with Wei Ying, that it was all a coincidence. But this was not true, and Lan Huan can eat his croissant and pet the bunny on his lap with ease.
âA-Sang. What kind of a person is Wei Ying?â
Nie Huaisangâs face split into a feral grin, âSo youâve noticed, then?â
Lan Huan sighed, âOf course Iâve noticed. A-Sang, A-Zhan absolutely loathes coffee. And ever since heâs brought me here, A-Zhan and Wei Ying keep staring at each other with these deep looks of longing. And the thing is, neither of them realise that theyâre even pining. Is this what it was like for you before A-Jue and I got together?â
Nie Huaisangâs grin grew wider, âWell for starters, I was fully enjoying the show between you and da-ge when it was going on. Sometimes I still do,â he winked. Lan Huan was horrified, âbut you gotta let Yingying and Lan Zhanâs relationship run their course.â
Nie Huaisangâs grin seemed to grow wider than his face, âOr you can interfere.â
âInterfere?â
Nie Huaisang nodded gleefully, âGo talk to Wei Ying. Youâll see.â
Lan Huan was befuddled, âSee what?â Nie Huaisang was pushing him out of his seat.
In a matter of milliseconds, Lan Huan found himself in front of Wei Ying. He cleared his throat.Â
Wei Ying plastered on his face what could only be a âcustomer service smileâ, âCan I help you with something?â
âHow are you doing?â
Wei Ying was slightly taken aback, but the smile remained all the same, âIâm fine thank you, and you?â
Lan Huan could feel the awkwardness building up at the base of his gut, âIâm good too.â
And it was silent once more. Lan Huan could see Nie Huaisang face-palming out of the corner of his eye.
Lan Huan forced himself to speak up, âHow long have you had this place open?â
âToday marks the third week. It really is amazing how well weâre doing, it feels like just yesterday that I was waiting for my first customer,â Wei Ying looked reminiscent, âSangsang was the first person to walk in, throwing open the doors like he always does. Your brother followed him in, not long after.â
Lan Huan was slightly surprised, âA-Zhan was your first customer?â
Wei Ying chuckled, âTechnically, Sangsang was my first customer, Zhan-gege was my second.â
âYou call him Zhan-gege?â
âWell, it was really a way to tease him at first. I guess I got used to it? I think itâs kinda cute.â
Lan Huan didnât really know what face he was making, âIt is cute.â
Wei Ying looked like a deer caught in headlights, âEr, thank you?â
Lan Huan sighed, at this point, whatever talking Nie Huaisang wanted them to do clearly wasnât happening. âWei Ying, I think my brother has a crush on you.â
Wei Yingâs face turned redder than the shirt he was wearing, âWhat.â
âI think my brother has a crush on you.â
âHaha. Ha. No he doesnât, this is a really weird prank to play, my friend.â
Lan Huan was confused, he seemed to be confused a lot today, it must be the absurdity of everything, âWhy would I prank you about this?â
âBecause just 10 minutes ago I was thinking about kissing him! Clearly youâre a freaky mind reader or something, because youâre making fun of me!â
Lan Zhan was standing beside them. Lan Huan didnât notice when he approached them, and considering the way Wei Ying tripped over the counter, he certainly didnât. âWei Ying. You were thinking about kissing me?â
Nie Huaisang was chuckling behind a handkerchief. He really was enjoying the show, wasnât he? Lan Huan couldnât help but find it a little amusing as well.
Wei Ying ran to the back. Lan Zhan followed him in a brisk walk.
The other customers definitely found it amusing, an older woman was smiling behind her cup as she watched the drama go down. Her husband, Lan Huan presumed, guffawed, âYoung love.â
Nie Huaisang walked up to where Lan Huan was standing, âBy âinterfereâ, I meant for you to drop a few hints here and there. I didnât mean for you to say it to his face.â
Lan Huan raised an eyebrow, âWhat else was I supposed to say?â
Nie Huaisang shook his head, âNever change, Huan-ge. Never change.â
What was that supposed to mean?
â
Lan Zhan was absolutely mortified. When Lan Zhan teased his brother with all that coffee, he never meant for his brother to reveal his secret feelings to his crush. He wasnât expecting it. He didnât even think it was that obvious.
Maybe Lan Huan just knows him too well?
Wei Ying was hiding behind a large bag of coffee beans. Lan Zhan really hates coffee. It has a strong smell, and if he were in this same position three weeks ago, the smell would have made him barf.
But heâs not in the same position, and heâs been drinking Wei Yingâs coffee religiously for three weeks straight. Thereâs just something about Wei Ying that makes Lan Zhan want to drink his coffee.
Maybe it was the way he makes it?
Or maybe Lan Zhan was trying to fruitlessly lie to himself, and itâs just the fact that Wei Ying has a pretty face and personality?
Probably the latter.
âLan Zhan,â it seems Wei Ying noticed him âDo you really have a crush on me?â
Lan Zhan nodded, although Wei Ying probably wouldnât have been able to see it in the dark. âMn.â
âThen, Zhan-gege,â Lan Zhan could hear the shy smile in his voice, âWould you like to date me?â
âMn.â
Lan Zhan could feel Wei Yingâs breath on his neck, âZhan-gege, can I kiss you?â
Lan Zhan took the initiative to kiss Wei Ying himself.
Hey, I totally understand how you're feeling. I've been clean for..... uhm I think it's been two to three months since my last relapse, but that doesn't matter. Point is, I'm so tempted right now as well. I want this shit. But when I look at what I feel when you want to hurt yourself, I realize that maybe I shouldn't. I have no idea where I'm going with this, I just wanted to tell you that you deserve better than this shit...
đ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„ș
You don't deserve it either.
I know it's hard to resist and i hope we both can do that.
I'm probably gonna try to listen to new Rammstein album in hopes that it will distract me enough.
Before i got triggered i was all okay but since then i was going in and out of this urge to hurt myself and it's insanity.
Congrats on your milestone!!đ If your requests are still open, I'd like to request Wangxian slow dancingđâš
Hannah! Hello dear! đ
Thank you so much for the congratulations! My prompts are still very much open, so I definitely didn't mind filling this one for you at all! I hope you enjoy it :)
The living room is littered with numerous boxes. Wei Wuxian himself sits cross-legged upon the floor, attention focused on emptying the box which is closest to him.
Well. He had been emptying it.
Neither he nor Lan Wangji hold that many possessions to unpack. Apart from the usual necessities required when moving into a new house, the two of them only have a select number of other items. Lan Wangji was never one for much clutter, and most of Wei Wuxian's childhood possessions he has either sold or kept stored at the Jiangs.
And yet part of the reason why the task of unpacking is taking so long is because Wei Wuxian keeps getting distracted. With each box he unpacks and sorts through he manages to find a number of things which pique his interest; from little trinkets that the two of them have collected over the years which were filled with warm, fond memories, to books. And Wei Wuxian has never been able to not see a book and resist taking a peek to see what it was about.
The box Wei Wuxian currently works through is one that is unmistakably mostly his husbands' belongings. It is tidily packed with an assortment of music-related items - one which had been a record player Wangji had already set up in the room.
The majority of what's left in the box is records. Many are old, tired-looking things, the corners of the card sleeves slightly ripped and torn from years of use before they had fallen into Wangjiâs hands. They are much better looked after now; Lan Wangji having used the time and money to buy protective sleeves for all his records so as to stop them from getting too scratched or covered in dust.
There are others that are newer; recordings of pieces Lan Wangji himself has played throughout his own musical career. Those cause a fond smile to tug at Wei Wuxianâs lips, his heart filling with pride as he reflects upon how talented his husband is.
Wei Wuxian's current distraction is one of Lan Wangji's records. He's been reading the tracklisting for the one he currently holds reverently in his hands, recalling the concert where his husband had last performed the set live. He has always loved Lan Wangjiâs music. Wei Wuxian believes wholeheartedly that his husband is talented beyond reason, that the melodies he plays are enough to enchant audiences in their thousands, occasionally moving them to tears with the beauty of the sounds he plays.
Rising to his feet, Wei Wuxian decides to make his way across the room, being careful not to step on any of the mess heâs left with his 'organizing'. He eventually makes his way to the record player, switching it on before gently removing the record he holds from its protective sleeve. He sets it down upon the machine, moving the tonearm so he can set the stylus into position.
He moves his hand away and, after a moment, the sound of his husband's music slowly begins to fill the space of the room around him.
Wei Wuxian grins brightly at the familiar music, his body slowly beginning to slowly sway side to side on its own, cast under its magic spell.
It doesnât take long for Lan Wangji to be lured by the sound of the tune. Wei Wuxian hears the sound of soft footsteps as he steps slowly into the room, and once he has moved close enough he turns his head slightly, meeting him with a smile.
âI see you found my records.â
âOf course,â Wei Wuxian replies, turning around fully so he could face Lan Wangji better. He drapes his arms around his husband's neck, his grin growing at the way Lan Wangjiâs hands settle upon the usual space upon his waist in return. âLan Zhan. Weâve been working so hard with all this unpacking. Donât we think we deserve a break?â
âMm,â Lan Wangji hums, his gaze slightly drifting towards the current chaotic state of their new living room. Wei Wuxian canât help but laugh at the thoughtful look he notices rise upon his expression, moving to cup his hand against Lan Wangjiâs cheek and gently guiding him to meet his eyes once more.
âThe tidying is still very much a work in progress,â he says between his laughter. âBut I promise you that come this evening, weâll have a beautiful looking living room. Just as you'd like it to look. But ... hard work doesnât come without a little playâŠâ
âWei Ying has been working hardâŠâ Lan Wangji starts, slowly starting to sway their bodies in time with the music once more. Wei Wuxian nods eagerly at his words.
âI have, I really have,â he agrees, resting his arms more comfortably around Lan Wangjiâs neck again. âAnd the music is so pretty. Truly, whoever this performer is, they're a true artist. One of the best, in fact!â
Lan Wangji huffs out a breath of laughter, leaning forward to press a light kiss against Wei Wuxianâs brow. Wei Wuxian's eyes fall closed at the action and as his husband kisses him he notes how they continue to glide side to side, the rhythm taking over as if it were but an extension of them both.
âIf Wei Ying wishes to dance, he only has to ask. I'm always willing to dance with him.â
âDonât have to ask,â Wei Wuxian says, leaning forward and pressing his cheek against Lan Wangjiâs chest. âMy husband knows me so well."

I am officially asking you about Gandalf because my memory is riddled with holes and I literally cannot remember ever reading a post about him on your blog
I am very sleepy LET ME try to sum up um... Gandalf comes to Denethor and is like NUMBER ONE your son is better off dead, itâs good heâs dead NUMBER TWO you dont know what youâre doing and you should listen to me despite the fact that I like literally know massively less than you about the situation here NUMBER THREE I am the steward of the whole world so I will happily throw Gondor under the Bus but you should still listen to meÂ
And then also Gandalfâs like been driving a wedge between Faramir and Denethor since he was a young boy, like Gandalf actively manipulated Faramir into dismissing his father who loved him when Boromir was ânot apt to his handâ, like it wasnt as though Gandalf particularly cared about Faramir he was just looking for a malleable child to exploit and Boromir proved unworkable.Â
And in general Gandalf exploits everyone he knows, remorselessly. To Gandalf this is all just a job and heâs only ever playing at being caring to get people to trust him. Gandalf never tells anyone anything that could be helpful or pertinent to their lives, even if itâs vitally important. He wants to keep them as in the dark as possible so that theyâre more easy to control. He does this to Frodo most specifically. He doesnât even tell them about the ring wraiths before they leave, like the hobbits are being hunted and they dont even know it until the wraiths show up and even then they have no idea what they are. Like he likes? The hobbits? But itâs in the same way one likes an object, he isnât considering their autonomy or personhood and the only person he shows that care too is actually Saruman.Â
And I like this!! Itâs a cool characterisation!! But itâs also sad knowing book gandalf would likely leave me to die somewhere because I was too annoying and too unusable if we met. Who isnât attached to Ian Mckellen.
Bruh I'm so glad about the woojin stuff on your blog because I've been asking myself what the hell went down there since I got into skz (in like... november?) and now there's FINALLY someone talking about itđ so thanks for thatđ
asdjfhdskj youâre welcome!! i got super curious cause i saw two videos in a row where he was blurred out and my alarm bells were going off cause i know fandoms can be petty but this?? seemed a bit extreme to me so i just had to ask... turns out the answer is very đŹđ„Ž
hoo boy chengqing! So you know, the thing is, both of them are in my top favourite characters in this fandom, and I really would love them to interact/have some kind of relationship. However, if I truly had the choice, Iâd rather have them as platonic partners, partly because I love strong platonic relationships, partly because I hc jiang cheng as aroace (literally WHY else is he so purple? He has to be ace okay), and wen qing as that or a lesbian, so them as a romantic ship is cool, but not the best their relationship could be imo. But I do enjoy them as a romantic couple, too! Iâll take what I can get
