UPDATES 160122

Hello Verbaldose Members! It’s your admins here with a couple of updates to share regarding prompts, welcomes, members, rules, etc etc etc. So without further ado, let’s get started!

Our return has been slow for the most part but nonetheless, we’re improving on getting this collective to run as smoothly as possible. To commemorate our return, we have made new ads for new and existing members. You do not have to reblog the welcome ads (albeit that would be appreciated), please welcome the members you see; send in a meme, starter, and/or inquiry about a plot! Also, if you have yet to receive a message from us regarding the new ads, let us know! We don’t want to leave anyone out.

The guidelines have changed slightly. Instead of having two spots for a face claim, we will now host three spots: gen/semi-au, au, and oc.

As of FEBRUARY 2016, our bi-monthly prompts will change! The first prompt will be just questions (6 in total) while the second prompt will be just drabble prompts (2 in total).

The new admin team is complete! If you need to reach any of us and want to try for a faster response, please contact: Irene, Hani, or Namjoon.

And finally, a VERBALDOSE has been administered! You do not have to complete all of it, only what you can or so wish to.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Thank you to those who have decided to stay! We truly are grateful and are looking forward to presenting a better VERBALDOSE to you. First off, we will be re-opening on December 11th (PST). Reserves and applications will be allowed after that time. Bear in mind that the guidelines and the application will be slightly different from what is listed right now. (Current members do not have to re-apply but please do welcome new members). Secondly, the next prompt will be posted on December 12th. Due to the busy season, this month will only have one prompt. If you still want more prompts to respond to, check the prompts tag to make sure you haven’t missed one! And finally, the new admin team will be brought in after the opening. We all care a lot about VERBALDOSE and its members, and hope to give you nothing short of the best! Until next time, - VD Admin Team.

Dear Verbaldose Members

We owe you an apology. A sincere apology to the members we left and disappointed. Trust me when I say that the hiatus of Verbaldose was completely unplanned. We wanted to keep this collective going for as long as we could…longer than we did. This collective was established with the hopes of bringing writers together, brilliant writers who wanted to create pieces that made an impact. And we did, during the short time that we were up and running. Unfortunately, the needs of our real lives had to be put before our roleplay lives. That isn’t an excuse, I know, but it is the most honest explanation we can give you. Please understand that we did not forget about you nor did we not feel guilty about leaving without notice. For some time, I, as the founder, thought of closing this collective down. I thought that after two months of inactivity, maybe this place was never meant to be. However, after a lot of thinking and conversing with the former admins and moderators, Verbaldose will re-open. The members will be cleaned out and a new admin team is in the process of being brought in. If you would like to stay with us, please let us know. If not, then let us know, too. We’re grateful you held on for this long. Minor changes will come soon as will the re-opening of Verbaldose.

NOTICE 150827

For all current members and future applicants: please read the guidelines carefully. These are the only things that are required of you and we have tried to make them as simple as possible. If you can not follow the guidelines, then you will not be part of this collective. It’s a shame to turn away talented writers due to their ignorance and it would be even more of a shame to have to remove writers because of this.

On another note, we have enjoyed reading the prompts our members have written and we do reblog all of them to verbalrx (explanation of the blog here). If your prompt hasn’t been liked or reblogged to verbalrx, please submit the link to it here. Our next prompt is coming up soon, so until then, happy writing.

It’s been a little over a week since VERBALDOSE has been running and we have no one to thank but you guys for the success that we’ve seen! So thank you, from all of the admins here, for taking interest in the collective and letting us thrive as we have. We hope that, so far, you guys have benefited from being a member whether it be through a wider range of writing partners or having a place to feel where you belong. And if you haven’t (which we hope isn’t the case) then I’m pleased to tell you guys that we’ve posted our first half of the August prompts: Back to Basics!

Please remember that these prompts aren’t mandatory but they are here for you to utilize in terms of giving depth to your character as well as bettering your writing. The admins will be joining you in completing these prompts and, just like the rest of you should, will be tagging the posts as vb; 0815. To make sure that you don’t miss the second half of this month’s prompts as well as the rest to come, please track the vb; prompt tag.

And for the older members, we wanted to mention that there is an icon we have for members linked in the guidelines to use if a render is how you would like to link us on your blog. If you want help with learning how to do this, please send us a message and we’ll gladly assist however we can! And on that note, please do make sure that you have us linked on your blog.
