This take on kong is actually a hominin related to Homo floresiensis (it’s not part of genus Homo for obvious readons) The meat eater is a crocodylian

Vastatosaurus rex, the top predator of Skull Island from Peter Jackson's King Kong. Drawn for a drawing challenge. :) I decided to try to draw something more or less complete in the Paint. It turned out a little clumsy, given the specifics of the eraser in this program, but in general, the experiment showed that it is quite possible to draw with detail in the Paint. :D
I depicted Vastatosaurus as having more in common with real tyrannosaurids. So, it does not have crocodilian osteoderms and its teeth are positioned evenly, without crossing, in a typical theropod manner (with an open mouth it is difficult to show, yes). I also drew rudimentary feathers. Nevertheless, this Vastatosaurus has keratinous ornamenations similar in shape to movie dinosaurs and a hard crocodile-type facial covering.

Ah, some sketching and shading with traditional pencils and charcoal. The arrangement of tough scales on the Vastatosaurus Rex is a good practice how to render such structures by using light and shadow.
Working with traditional media is very different from using a pen tablet with Gimp and I sometimes just like the feel of the pencil dragging over the paper.
