#Repost @lostwithpurpose ・・・ Well, Holi has come and gone, and it was indeed a blast! Both literally and figuratively. We spent several hours wandering the streets of Varanasi, and in that time we shook hundreds of hands, had a million handfuls of powder shoved into our faces, and had endless water balloons chucked at our heads. The pre-Holi warnings did hold true; there were a lot of drunken dudes swarming the streets. Some were too touchy (they paid the price), but there were also many respectful men out and about. Children were the real threat on the streets! Armed with buckets of colored water, endless water guns, and plastic bag water balloons, no foreigner was safe strolling past their open doors or under their rooftop perches. We did bring our camera out for the colorful celebrations, but alas, we didn't get a chance to snap too many photos. We were too busy dodging assaults from all sides!
