I'm also thinking about this post I saw about how Lelouch is like the white saviour and... honestly, I can see that yeah. I especially noticed in the final battle in S1 when Lelouch just ran away and left everything to the others. They explain that they failed bcs they didn't have the same energy, motivation and harmony without Lelouch's charisma to lead them on with confidence, but like... Tōdo was there, the creator of the Miracle so ?? I thought he would have been able to do something, but I guess not...
I understand that Lelouch's the protagonist but mannn.. oh well
The aspect I do like of this though is that it feeds on the melodrama that is CG bcs it's prince son throwing down his king/emperor father, which is super entertaining to watch.. like, CG as a whole is pretty melodramatic/dramatic which is why I can brush off some of the weirder/odd/non-sense(?) parts of the series... I'm here for the ride and I'm enjoying it
