“Here.”

John presses a glass of orange juice into Arthur’s hands, then drops a packet of cookies on his lap. “How are you feeling?”

Arthur evaluates himself. His neck aches and he’s a bit woozy—though nothing that the food won’t fix. Mostly, he just feels good, his body still alight with pleasure. 

He holds back a shiver. “I’m good, John.”

John frowns. “Are you sure? Because you have to tell me if you’re—”

“I’m fine. Promise.”

John sighs and sits on the bed next to Arthur. He’s warm, flush with Arthur’s blood, and Arthur feels oddly pleased. “All right.”

“It suits you. Though perhaps I’ve not gone far enough. I should have brought a muzzle.” “You’ll need a muzzle if you keep on with that,” Bergan growled, fangs out in earnest now.
