You just know that you need blood to survive, the King is freezing Vaugarde, and you can't let them know. You couldn't tell them what you are, they'd hate you, and then you'd have to leave.

VAMP!FRIN AU!!! PIX EDITION!!!

I'm not gonna write some big epic multi-part fanfic about this, BUT I DID WANT TO GET THIS OUT THERE!!! The idea is that, well, Vampires have different genus' now, or clans, if you will. Moreover, it messes with the idea of Odile figuring out Siffrin and also keeping it a secret!!!

Also, I had post game ideas too! Such as Perci, Merlon, and Ramos (of course). TL;DR, Perci got turned and is a Paleborn vampire, Merlon's mortal, and Ramos gets turned by Perci and is Clayborn*

Siffrin walks up to the favor tree as they always have. They slump onto the root, breathing heavily.

“Hello stardust~! How can I help you this wonderful new loop?”

He looks up at them, expression desperate. Their heavy breathing is the only thing audible.

“Ah, yes. Well. I told you already you should just drink from someone in town.”

He winces. “No, Mira knows these people… I can’t do that.”

“There’s always the other option I mentioned.”

“Im not blinding doing that, Loop. I dont want to tell them, and even if I did, I’m… I’m NOT doing that.”

“Stardust. What does that leave you with.”

He huffs. Exhausted, losing it, his fraying self control wearing at their psyche.

They rub at their face with their hands. “I dont know…” he groans.

“…. Look. Stardust. If you really must, you could always drink from me? I dont mind~”

Siffrin winces at the thought. But considers.

“You’re sure?”

“Of course stardust! Im here to help after all! Helpful Loop, here to help with the loops~”

Siffrin sizes them up, considering.

“Ok.”

He gets up and sits back down on their root next to them.

They’re nervous. They’ve never done this before. Not from a willing participant.

Loop simply holds out their wrist, almost in the way someone would offer a snack. Nonchalant, as if it barely even matters.

He stares at it before him. Shakily takes their wrist in his hands.

“The suspense is killing me, stardust~! You’re taking forever~!”

He glares at them, they simply smile with their eyes back at him, batting their eyelashes, and holding up their starry face with their other hand.

Deciding to get this over with, Siffrin doesn’t bother giving them any warning. They bite down. Their blood?… tastes weird. Its sugary. He’s swallowed some before he can really process the other sensation it’s giving him.

Ow.

OW OW OW OH STARS

They immediately let go and start coughing.

“Oh please, did I really taste that bad~?” Loop says, as he hacks and coughs. They grow more concerned as he doesn’t stop, and starts wheezing and clutching at their neck and chest.

“Stardust?”

Before they have proper time to react, he ignites.

STARS.

THEY ARE A STUPID PIECE OF BLINDING ASTEROID.

THEY ARE A STAR.

THE BLINDING THING THAT BURNS VAMPIRES??? LIKE THE BLINDING SUN???

“STARDUST!!” They try to put them out, but its no use, they seem to reignite from within.

It goes like this for several moments, Loop desperately trying to put him out, but eventually nothing’s left of Siffrin but a pile of ash. Loop stares at what they’ve done. Why haven’t they looped yet. Why is it—

Oh thank the stars. They looped. Stars above.

Loop clutches their head in their hands. How could they be so blinding stupid. They should have known better.

They close their eyes to check on Siffrin.

Siffrin sits in the field, breathing heavily and pulling their limbs into their cloak. He gasps a few times, and eventually just.

Scrambles across the field to the shade of a tree. Despite the fact that Siffrin does not burn in sunlight yet, it feels as though they were afraid of it happening.

They hold their limbs close in the shade of the tree, trying to get their breathing under control, massaging their throat.

Eventually, the housemaiden enters the field. “Siffrin! Siffrin you need to—

Siffrin?”

She looks around until she catches sight of stardust, hidden in the shade, though not enough to prevent discovery.

“Siffrin? Are you ok?”

“Y-yep! Fine! Just needed some shade.”

She doesnt seem to believe him, but recognizes that they’re dodging the topic.

“Ok… um, you know you can tell me if you need anything right?”

Judging from the tightness in stardust’s chest at that, no, no he doesn’t. “Of course, Mira. I just need a minute.”

She nods. “Ok, um, come back to talk to me soon!!! I have something I need to tell you about, alright?”

They nod again.

She nods in response, gives a quick “see you soon!” And leaves.

Stardust’s breathing returns to its heavy routine. Their mouth is watering. Stars, he really isnt doing all that well. Their lip twitches. They hold up their own wrist and look at it.

Nope! They need to nip that in the bud!!

[Don’t.]

He jolts.

[Stardust. I… I didnt know that would happen. I apologize for suggesting it in the first place. But don’t try to supplement with yourself. That won’t go anywhere. Come by the favor tree, we can talk more in depth there.]

And with that, they open their eyes, disconnecting.

Stars. That was bad. They still feel tight in their chest. How could they let that happen? Why did they think that would work?

They rub at where their temples should be.

After a while, Siffrin walks up and sits opposite to Loop again. They don’t make eye contact. Neither does Siffrin.

The two sit in silence for an inordinate amount of time.

Loop eventually starts, “so. That didnt go well.”

Siffrin takes a deep breath in, and sighs it out. “You don’t say.”

“………..

…………….. I still think the fishing one is your best bet.”

He huffs, frustrated, putting his face in his hands. Groaning, he says, “Maybe…”
