the constant retconning of Lestatās abuse is driving me insane the more I think about it, truly. weāve long passed the point of āit was bad but louis got some things wrongā. itās just completely ālouis and claudia were crazy, unreliable LIARS and Lestat never did anything bad to them at allā now. itās awful.
and hilariously. itās the least important thing here truly. but hilariouslyā¦ it makes me like lestat LESS. because i liked him in s1-s2 BECAUSE he was so clearly a complicated monster. now he just feels like the toxic ex who badmouths you to everyone they know so that nobody will believe you when you say they hit you, and they also have a little cult of personality around them who will defend them to the death (the writersā¦ some of the fansā¦)
