I match Asteria up with Valoreal (aka Lori)

They start out hating each other because Lori thinks she’s a wimp and Asteria thinks he’s an ass

They’ve both got a lot of hurt and blood under the front they put up. The main difference is who the blood belongs to

Calling each other out on their bullshit back and forth until one of them cracks a bit and cries and the other realizes ‘fuck. fuck. shit. i hurt them and i know why what i said hurts and oh no i feel this pain too’

relationship dynamic is “we’re both in pain so let’s soothe each other, but it’s not like i like it or anything, baka”

These two definitely don’t have the usual relationship progression of developing a crush and confessing and seeing where it goes. Their confession is more like... after months of bothering each other back and forth they realize that they have more in common than they initially thought and that they might just be each other’s only comfort in the harsh world of the devildom. Asteria will have to ply Lori for affection in public because admitting his love won’t come ease. In fact, it has to be dragged kicking and screaming from him. Almost literally. Fight the boy until he realizes he loves you, Ast, he won’t say anything otherwise.

On the less angsty front, once he’s rid of his emotional constipation, Lori is a good boyfriend. He’s affectionate, if still kind of an asshole, a good cook, and keeps a clean apartment. He isn’t good at saying what he really feels though, so be careful that she doesn’t let him sit on something that’s made him mad too long. He will require reassurance that he hasn’t fucked everything up irreparably.

He will protect her with everything he is though, if she will do the same. He’ll throw himself in front of demons and bad exes and everyone and anything if it keeps her safe.
