Comments: 9/10. First off, it’s by valinde, so you know it’s gonna be good. Dean the cop and Cas the DA are best friends, but then one day Cas takes a surprise vacation without telling Dena. Dean is hurt and angsts a little, before discovering that Cas has been kidnapped by the Russian mafia, who happen to be his brother. It’s action-packed but also full of emotions. There’s also Dean taking care of hurt and injured Cas, and features a scene where Dean has to wash Cas due to Cas’s injured hands. It’s amazing, to say the least.

Comments: 10/10. I cannot believe I’ve never rec’d this before, but an ask made me realise it, so better late than never right? This is an awesome fic with awesome smut and just do yourself a favor and read it. There’s wing kink, which is a very real thing that I love, and there’s knotting cuz angel anatomy. Dean gets wings, wings proposition Cas, and Cas runs out of self control.

Comments: 10/10. Oh dear god literally 29 chapters of pure angsty. It’s kinda a retelling of the show, with some major plot changes, but with Dean as Cas’ mate. Only Cas doesn’t know and Dean doesn’t tell him and there’s just so much angst. Dean’s body thinks he’s mated and he can see colours but Cas doesn’t know so he’s basically estranged so oh god so much angst. WARNINGS/SPOILERS: Cas helps Dean out with his heat in purgatory (really detached and emotionless and scarring) and Dean ends up pregnant. But he has a miscarriage. END OF SPOILERS. The ending is happy though, the author changes the plot of the later seasons quite significantly.
