So,i'm okay with the fact that i'm single on the day that love's celebrated.. But what really annoys me is yesterday when I was working that a handful of male customers who brought chocolates, flowers & balloons for their partner said "I bet you'll be getting these tommoroww" Even in previous years when I did work on valetines day, males would come into work and say "Just wait till you get home and you'll be spoilt" Uh..why do people assume that everyone is gonna get spoilt on a bloody expensive day? Personally I have no interest in valetines day,it's too expensive and I never understand why only spoil your partner one day of the year, why not 24/7? Flowers die in a few days, chocolate can either be a good or bad present,Cards may not always be cherised. Than you factor in wether or not it'd be worth the money to enjoy a night out considering you know the previous night/tommoroww night the price will be ligther on the wallet. Do I think the same for Easter and Christmas..yep..mind you,i've learnt to be really selective to those who I buy presents for. I won't be that idiot who begs for a ban on those celebrate days but I do ask that people be courteous and realise not everyone cares for the hype. -- The flowers pictured are one of the few (fake) flowers used during my parents wedding back in the late 90's. #rant #retailproblems #flowers #valentines #valetinesday2017
