so right off the bat i knew i wanted zale and valere to be dofus egg twins, because in the source material for sea of stars, their magic is borrowed from the sun and moon, and it just made sense to me that they'd also be special in this au because ~oooo forgotten race~

inspirations (obviously) came from the eliatrope protagonist and his dragon twin, yugo and adamai respectively. all eliatrope dofus have twins inside them, so i thought it would be the perfect match of course!

for garl!! i was veryyyy unsure between making him an enutrof, or iop, solely because yugo's adoptive father is an enutrof and also runs his own restaurant. thats literally it lol. although iop didnt fit either... so eventually i ended up leaning towards the eniripsa race!! given that they're a healer class, it made sense to me. the paintbrush is essentially a medical tool, and in the show you can see several eniripsa use them to nurse patients back to the health

(also imagine garl making cooking a dish then sprinkling his eniripsa magic onto the food so it heals people when they eat it ITS JUST A CUTE CONCEPT TO ME!!!!)
