Can we talk about the Valka and Gobber bromance? At the end of the movie they were working together when Astrid flew past them. I want more insight into that relationship. They both loves Stoick very much and I can see them bond over the loss.

aaah I just had a really sad beautiful thought about httyd 3! what if during Hiccup and Astrid's wedding- and you know there'll be a wedding- they play of dancing and dreaming and theres a close up of valkas face and oh its too soon to start freaking out about the next movie!
Actually, I think HTTYD3 will either have a small wedding scene (but not a small wedding ;)) OR they'll already be married, and a wedding might happen in a short. Or they'll just leave the wedding to our imaginations (though that'd be a bit mean XD)
But D&D? You know, I can see it as a melody of the background, not the lyrics. But that would be lovely. It would be even more lovely if Valka's heartbroken moment gets interrupted by an equally grieving Gobber as he asks her to dance. *tear*
It's been implied that Gobber used to flirt with Valka. What do you think about that?

It was half-harmless the way Snotlout's flirting with Astrid is. Stoick was never worried the way Hiccup never worried. In fact, Gobber's flirting with Val was more playful towards Stoick than her. He'd often do it to get a friendly rile out of his bestie.
But sometimes he would catch the auburn shine of Val's hair under the right light, and her nose would do the wrinkly thing when she laughed, and he'd know in his heart it wasn't as harmless as he led his best friends to believe.
I once wrote a drabble where Gobber got his crooked nose from Val--because he made one last wooing effort at her wedding. <3 You know what? I gotta get that on here, it's just on DA. XD
