There are so many moments in time he could have picked. Any other part of her timeline where he could have dropped in. There are infinite possibilities right now, and yet getting in the way of her life seems wrong. At least for the first time around. He had been inside her head; traumatised her; made her feel things she had never been allowed to decide. Amends needed to be made somehow.
It's risky when she's so delicate, so near the end. Little left to ruin, though, and perhaps wisdom will keep tempers gentle.
Loki projects to the seat at her bedside, visible only to her even if she receives another visitor. He keeps the garb of his multiversal guardian persona. The horns could be alarming but his manner is not, and there's little mistaking who he is while he wears them.
His voice is as soft as he can make it while still accounting for her impairments. He's god of story in this moment. Who's to say she cannot simply feel the words?
