@imbalanceofpower,
after a long, and uncomfortably quiet drive, tay wonders if she'd made the right decision. perhaps, despite all of her curiousness, klaus is better kept at a distance. she lingers on the thought, unaware of nothing but their footsteps, until she forces herself to speak— "why did you pick here?"
she looks up to see klaus laying down a blanket. it's the first time she smiles since the second time he'd glanced in her direction in the car. when he looks up too, it's not at her but the sky. tay understands his point before he makes it, but he tells her anyway, "it's the best place for stargazing in the area."
tay looks properly, when she joins him. no longer second-guessing her decision, she relaxes. her glance is brief, directed at the waves lit up by the lighthouse beam. she looks at klaus instead, whilst he's distracted. there's no edge in her tone, "you would know."
