Stefan swirls the bourbon in his glass, a nice vice to numb the burning in his throat as she speaks, as she breathes the same air as him.      “You know you’re talking to a ripper right?” Down the hatch goes the rest of his drink. Everything in him is telling him to rush over to her, rip into her throat and drink, but he stays seated. It wasn’t a smart move. Not now, anyway. “Did Damon send you to taunt me?”
