Irey covered her mouth anxiously when the little blurry form appeared on the screen. She wasn’t sure what it exactly looked like but she knew that it was a baby and that was all that mattered. And then there were two babies. She grinned widely.
“It’stwinslikeme!” She exclaimed, not making much sense as she grabbed Artemis’s arm and bounced up and down a bit. She was getting two siblings, not just one.
Though her entire demeanor changed instantly when her dad’s hand fell on her shoulder. He probably didn’t realize it but he was shaking a bit. He wasn’t taking any of this well and she supposed he had a right too.
She hesitated barely a moment before rushing off and returning with the requested glass of water, pushing it into her father’s hands. She looked nervously around at Leslie and Artemis and then back to Wally.
“So, you should talk about things.” She stated, as an idea formed in her mind. “I’m gonna go outside.” She didn’t give them much time to object before she sped out into the hallway.
Once outside she pulled out her phone again and put in the speed dial she used for such occasions. It rang a bit before he picked up.
“Uncle Dick, we have a problem.”

Story: Irey was born along with her brother Jai to parents Linda and Wally West in the year 2021. Born with the powers of a speedster she and her brother quickly encountered a problem with aging too quickly, physically going from the ages 0 to 10 in the process of one year. With the help of family and friends, they managed to stop the process, leaving the twins to age normally from then onward.     Irey took an active interest in following her Father’s work, first taking the Impulse identity and then becoming Kid Flash when the time came. She seemed to have an almost instinctive knack for her powers using them as easily as a normal person did breathing.     One day, while on patrol, she stumbled across an injured blonde woman who was later revealed to be Artemis, Irey’s father’s supposedly dead girlfriend.     So far Irey is taking the new information in stride and has formed a strange friendship with her father’s ex, but time will only tell what happens next
