Staggering Glaciers – Creates sharp ice stalagmites that converge upon the target and Staggers them.

He’s heard it before, this chivalric speech filled with determination and perhaps hopes for something brighter than the bleak sky that blankets them. Whatever world that was there before The Great Collapse. It sometimes makes Jin wonder if Yakumo had always been like this or if he, himself, had been this tired of it all. He can’t remember and realizes there’s no use trying to piece together what his life was before this. He knows he shouldn’t try. It’s a longing for something that’s no longer there, that he can’t even begin to picture.  

His fingers continue the task of molding the onigiri to its perfect triangular roundness as though through muscle memory alone. 

“You cannot save everyone,” he begins while placing the molded ball down on the plate, “nor is it your job to do so. We have an entire team of people with varying talents.” His words come out harsh, dismissive and in an almost scolding manner.

Memories are a fickle thing. Jin wonders if he was the type to be disgusted at the thought of being dirty. The grime and soiled clothing sticking to his skin is certainly uncomfortable but a small part of him wants to wash up as quickly as he could. 

Jin supposes he could wash the clothes. Or maybe just incinerate them, if he finds them not worth the manual effort. Methodically he divests himself of his shirt first, tossing it to the far side of his quarters. Long fingers pause at the metal buttons on his pants as the familiar melodic voice chimes in. 

Perhaps Daji had been passing by. Jin wouldn’t entertain the thought of her stopping for a proverbial ‘show’.

Hero complex. 

Jin dusts his hands off. Crimson ice seeps from his fingertips, staining the barren ground at their feet. Nothing grows here. Not hope, nor salvation. A return to normalcy that no one remembers? He doubts it’ll ever happen. 

Life is just that. Forgetting for a time and then reliving it all again. 

“Killing him would not change anything,” Jin replies back coolly. Dark boots kick aside the carcass as he approaches Moriya. “He is a symptom. If the sickness is not taken care of then more of his kind will continue to emerge.” 

His words are just that: words. They won’t change anything either. “Your thoughts are accepted and appreciated.” It’s difficult for him to articulate and form the sentiment on the tip of his tongue when teeth guards it so closely, refusing to let it leave.

Etro’s Embrace - Increases the speed of Regeneration for both you and your partner.

Prophesied Sacrifice - Consumes all of your HP and restore your partner’s HP and Ichor to full. Auto-activates Regeneration for 10 seconds. 

Chilling Prayer - Cures you and your partner of all Debuffs. Greatly increases Ice resistance. 

Song of Stars - Consumes half of your HP and shields your partner from all damage for the exact amount. 

Oracle’s Favor - Temporarily boots your partner’s Attack power greatly.

Protection of the Six - Temporarily makes you Invulnerable. Any damage taken during that time heals your partner. Cannot stack with Prophesied Sacrifice.

Only daughter of high profile religious cult leaders Safay and Sylva Nox Fleuret, Lunafreya lived a sheltered existence for most of her life. She grew up on the cult’s words and teachings. Their world was dirty and sinful---in need of saving. To reset humanity back to its purity. 

Taken by Juzo Mido’s words, Safay and Sylva were convinced that this parasite to change and evolve ‘special’ humans was surely the answer. The man was sent by the Gods themselves to aid them towards saving mankind. Their daughter, the chosen Oracle would ascend. In her divinity, she would bring salvation to the sinful world. 

They offered Lunafreya to be used in Mido’s experiments. But unlike what they wished, she did not save the world---did not save them. When she saw her parents again the newly transformed Lunafreya went into a blood-thirsty rage, killing them and the cult members.

Glass cannon. Withered body. He’s a mess of wounds and idle thoughts. This isn’t the first time he’s dying, Jin knows. The idea isn’t new but the memories always fade nonetheless. How will it feel this time, he wonders. Would he even recall? 

Ichor leaks from him, leaving this vessel of a body empty. Jin is running on fumes and he knows it. Without Gifts, he is nothing on the battlefield. His blurred gaze remains fixed on the Lost that looms above him with the promise of another death. Though instead of nothingness, he’s jostled out of his addled mind as he’s roughly grabbed. The once-human creature lies some feet away from him and Moriya’s face comes into view.

She carves her way through a bloody path, inspiring hope in those who thirst. In the drought she turns decay into fine wine. The crimson road is awfully bright but he finds himself following as the others have. As they continue to do. 

The masses of Lost approach them, staggering in their brutish steps. Fingers twitch, curling in ready. “Yes, yes. I expect no less.” Frost crawls and bathes them in a chilling cloak. “Make sure you keep them there.”
