Some Of The Things That Made My Childhood Great (P2)
My mom had a thing about getting me V-tech learning computers annually. That being said I don’t remember sh!t about this one
I remember this one well, it was the most computer-ish of them all, while not being remotely like the real thing. Language arts anyone?
The first real camera I’ve ever owned. A Polaroid Instant Camera. I both loved and hated this. I loved taking photos and instantly getting a photo. But the film went by in a flash (no pun intended) and it was kind of heavy. But it gave me the first picture of my first pooch, and I’m greatful for that
My first actual laptop, a Gateway 2000. It had a floppy drive, released just a bit before CD roms and touch pad mouse were becoming standard. Came with a very snazzy leather bag. I once called my grandmother trying to connect to the internet. Also this got stolen by a friend who was supposed to fix it from some error it was having. But promptly moved states away. Still not over it!
I actually don’t remember too much about these. I think the second one connected to the Gameboy Color pokemon games via IR. I don’t think I had these very long. I have no clue what ever happened to them
I think I got this camera on my 15th birthday. It was a big step up from the VGA cameras I had been using prior. It had a whopping 1.3 Megapixels. It could record 30sec videos, which was a huge deal to me. However one day I accidentally faced the sensor at the sun and it permanently ruined the exposure, making everything 10x darker than they actually were. Tf?
So this one was pretty cool for the time, it had a mini printer attachment, and had a whopping 4 megapixels. I actually used this to shoot my school’s graduation video which got rave reviews 😌
