Once a year (at least) I need to make a post complaining about the fact that I entered a university program in which the study language is officially Finnish, where there were exactly two mandatory English classes at the beginning of the first year of my Bachelor's studies, and they were mostly about grammar and telling us not to use anglicisms, and how I'm still in the same program doing my Master's but every single course and all of the study materials for them are in English. This is that post now.

#do I speak english pretty well? yes #do I understand it pretty well as well? yes #is it really fucking arduous to have to constantly translate every single fucking thing you read? YES #yes I speak and understand english but it is still my third language #and this is scientific writing and not just layman english #it is actually pretty hard to learn new things in a language that you are not a native speaker of #uuugghhhhh #yes this is about the fluvial and coastal studies class and the fact that I have the exam this week and I am so OVER this
