ok i haven’t watched the new videos yet so idk if there’s anything to refute this but i think it would be really cool if one of the mcs in unstable—particularly spoke—found a new civilization that belonged to uu!squiddo.
and obviously there’s the concern of it being destroyed like most if not all civilizations in unstable, but squiddos like: “oh yeah it has multiple times!”
burned, exploded, invaded, destroyed, all the usual things for a civilization. but squiddo just rebuilt again and again.
because she’s gotten her home burned down on multiple occasions, and her builds and farms destroyed. but she always just rebuilds it or makes a new one.
she didn’t build her civilization for power, she just wanted to build
like no matter how bad things get, it’s minecraft, and you can always just try again. and i think that’s a lesson that would be beneficial for our mcs.

Sami samilings ramble about UU Squiddo and what Id like to happen even though we have not seen them in forever.
Spoilers for wemmbu and Spoke vids and Directors Arc <- just in case theres people who are still catching up. Just older videos
Right so I was discussing UU with a friend, shout out Traveller, and I am obviously a UU Squiddo fan because Yknow. I run her RP Blog, and I want her back. But aside from that I have come to the conclusion that:
UU Squiddo would be an amazing Antagonist.
Now now, hear me out.
Squiddo was a somewhat minor character, comic relief esc and so her returning at all would be amazing because I love them, but why an antagonist specifically? Well, She played a very vital part in Spokes lore, or more his character development by being someone commonly suffering the consequences of his incompetence or impulsitivty. Sure, Mapicc did as well, and like everyone else that interacts with spoke, but theres more to her than that.
Squiddo was screwed over by EVERYONE. im not even joking. Who was the one person who actually treated her properly, like a person to be respected, who wanted her more than just someone to torment or to steal from or prank or bully? Ashswag.
Ashswag was her safe spot, her only person she had. And he left her. Now we know the two arent in contact because, well, last time we see her shes in the amplified alone. I guess one could make the point Ash could be here but like???? So close to Bat? I think not.
So. Shes alone. And shes trying to live in peace. Shes isolated herself, again (farlands and the point nemo and now amplified), yet also put herself somewhere relatively safe- near bat. And spoke comes. And he ruins it all. AGAIN.
Now, what has Spoke done in the past to Squiddo? Well. Just from memory: her castle was raided, burnt, and destroyed by Spoke and then by Mafia members following spoke (I guess the mafia part you could blame on Ashswag but it is unclear if she knows Ash is running the mafia at this point. I think it isnt unreasonable to say the characters are dating already when she 'first' meets him based on reaction but that could just be like. 'Out of chatacter' things happening Early UU had a bit like that yknow so its good. ANYWAY. thats a conversation for another time.), aside from destroying her castle, he destroys all of her farms (not to hurt HER but still), steals her things, burns down her other house (Amplified), and of course exiled her evil husband which ment she moved to the farlands with him, and then, of course, spoke is the reason she loses Ashswag. Ashswag breaks up with her because of Spoke. It is unclear if she knows this of course, but whats stopping her from ever finding out?
All of her misfortunes, nearly all of them, can be blamed on Spoke.
Everything good, even her own peice of mind, gets tainted or ruined or stolen or broken by Spoke
How far must she go for peace ? How much longer can she live like this? She moved from PZE, to Wemmbu Civ, to her castle, to the mafia area, to the farlands, to Point Nemo, to the Amplified. Notice the trend of getting more and more isolated from people? From anyone who can cause her harm. She just wants to live and yet misfortune follows her everywhere, no matter if shes surrounded by people, just with Ash, or somewhere hard to traverse and near BAT.
Now. Of course, not EVERYTHING listed above was destroyed by Spoke, but I never said shed only be an antagonist for Spoke.
Firstly, we have The Director (Wifies), now although not said IN unstable universe it was discussed in a Wifies unlisted video that she was captured to use. This is presumably against Ash, most likely to get him to tell Parrot about the Director. This assumption comes from the fact that I am pretty sure Squiddo is not there when Parrot goes to visit and it never made much sense to me why Ashswag out of all people would tell Parrot this. Ash admitting he's weaker than someone???? And yknow everything else. So she was captured by Wifies, anyway, now we arent told exactly how shes treated I dont think (I havent actually watched this video but like Ive heard from others) but its assumable she isnt treated the BEST and Ash was probably told Squiddo would be killed if he doesnt do what the director wants. Although, I dont think her life really was ever in danger, Ash would have done whatever it took to get her back, but it still adds to the building sense of her never being allowed to have peace.
And then there is Wemmbu and Zam. Their first interaction with Squiddo is beating her with a shovel and then chunk banning her, which is not great. Then she moves into Wemmbus Civilisation and that gets blown up.
And during all these times, out of all these experiences,
What has she done wrong? What has she done to deserve any of this?
Nothing.
She did nothing but be there most of the time or be affiliated with the wrong people.
Theres only so long someone can keep this up. Of trying to be good, not even good just be happy, just be safe just to exist and not suffer. UU Squiddo stays out of people's ways most of the time. She was a master builder, yes, and she used to live in civilisations, but that really is staying out of things isnt it? Being there but not being a large loud part of anything. She even stayed anonymous as a Mafia member even though she was with Ash (which again that can be talked about a different day).
Now. Squiddo isnt evil in UU. She isnt. But she is passive, a bystander. As long as shes happy as long as shes fine, then she isnt going to really try to change anything. E.g Mafia (yes she did join Spokes team to fight that but like. Again conversation for another day) She is almost fine with cruelty in a way, you could say this is a chatacter trait, which sure, I dont mind her being slightly morally grey like that, but also just. Trauma. Its what shes been taught. Bad things will happen and you either let them and survive or you can die trying to fix them (what usually happens). Squiddo doesnt want to die. She just wants to live and be in peace and be happy. She wants to be left alone.
Now what Im trying to get at, right, is she is constantly being taught that she just cant do anything. Everyone will leave her (ash+assumed master builders break up) or treat her like trash, and she just. Has to accept it. No matter how much she runs or moves or lives near people who will keep her safe, someone will always ruin it. And most of the time its by spoke. Spoke always ruins everything for her. So I wouldnt say shes particularly happy with spoke. Maybe a tad. Vengeful. Even. But its not just him, its everyone, every single person. But what is she going to do, really?
Except. What if she could do something?
Squiddo is manipulative. Maybe not in the evil way, but she puts on an act pf normalcy and joy and positivity at all times and people accept this as fact. This and the fact that her reputation proceeds her, people, even if they dont really respect her, trust her word because shes Squiddo. Why would Squiddo lie? She tells silly fake stories about her llama, but what else would Squiddo even lie about? Shes so silly everyone loves her, shes trustworthy like that. And everyone Knows her or knows of her, shes a master builder why wouldnt people know of her, the great monuments were great and known and everywhere. Shes a great liar, imaginative/creative, and even if she acts like she doesn't she has a good memory (she remembers her dumb stories). And she had farms for recources, a lot of them, sure they got blown up but she probably had other stashes she can just build more. They have access to a lot of things and a lot of people who probably owe her favours or need easy to get resources.
So whats stopping her from using any of this?
I wouldnt say its morals, I think she might try and be good but she isnt so morally strong it stops her from being evil, she was married to a Mafia leader afterall. I think its either fear or just her desperate want to be left alone. To just exist. But time and time again its proved that she wont get this, she will never get this, she doesnt get peace and she never will. Shes Squiddo, loveable but not respected, funny, child like, imaginative and creative, silly, cheerful, small background character Squiddo, Comedic Relief, easy to bully Squiddo.
Surely she cant live like this forever?
Surely. Just surely one day she will snap.
Now, I dont know what exactly plans an Antagonist Squiddo would have, I dont think it would be evil but they would be selfish. And im not saying shed be a main antagonist but she would be extremely interesting. She has the power (socially and probably financially) and the reason to actually do something And they'd make a hell of a lot more interesting antagonist then just oh we need an antagonist let's just make some dude who we have never mentioned at all in lore or ever to be it.
So do I think this will ever happen in Unstable Universe? HAH. No. Do I want it to happen? Oh absolutely. I think even though Squiddo probably will never really return for anything important, UU should bring back some older characters to be more important, I think its really cool when that happens. Or just. More women and GNC people in general as well.
Only problems I can think of for her being an antagonist is it could possibly be too close to director / JamatoP plot lines, but I think there are ways to write it correctly that wouldnt make it too similar.

She'd been pushed away, that was what he'd wanted wasn't it... ...? She'd hated it but she did it. |

It was almost funny, honestly, she used to say that about him. |
