YES EVERYTHING THERE’S A SCENE WHERE BONES AND SPOCK ARE DEFENDING THE WEAPONLESS CREW WITH THEIR PHASERS AND SPOCK IS CLUTCHING HIS WOUND AND I CAN JUST HEAR BONES IN MY HEAD GETTING REALLY ANGRY THAT SPOCK IS PUSHING HIMSELF AND YET THERE’S NO CHOICE, HE’S GOT A PHASER IN HIS OWN HAND, GODDAMN IT, HE’LL TAKE CARE OF THIS, SPOCK!

Finally someone made a trailer that highlights the *characters* of Star Trek and not just their quest/the mortal danger they are in. We see that everyone is vulnerable to an extent, asking the existential questions, wondering what it really means to be part of Starfleet and if Starfleet actually serves a good purpose. So I do hold high hopes that this movie will go “beyond” the other two, give us the Trek family, show us how they are maturing together and taking care of each other like the strong unit we know them to be.
Bonus the Triumvirate scene. I imagine Kirk answering Bones’ question to the effect, “Only if you’re with me,” and placing his hands on Spock and McCoy’s shoulders. Then there’s some good-natured ribbing and that’s the closing scene to the movie.
