Though it’s only been a couple of years since Until The Ribbon Breaks gave us his stellar debut album A Lesson Unlearnt, it somehow feels like it’s been a lifetime since we’ve heard from the UK audio-visual project. This could only mean we’ve been missing UTRB a whole lot. Not only have we always found the duo’s clever videos fascinating, but their genre bending music always enraptured us with its profound stirring, nostalgia inducing, forward thinking creativity. Today, they’ve finally re-surfaced with a new song and visual accompaniment. Here Comes The Feeling is also accompanied by welcome news of a sophomore album, due to arrive in 2018. Lead-man Pete Lawrie-Winfield wrote and produced the new song while embarking on a journey of recovery from addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs. Despite an engagement, a new social group, and prolific music crafting, Pete’s old vices reared their ugly heads. The experience inspired this soulful alt pop and electro pop synthesis, whose crisp beats and rich horns are hallmarks of an enthralling UTRB song.
