What a night last night was. I am still travelling home, feeling slightly delicate after several celebratory post match beers.

something i'd be really interested in is systems who are interested in watching any team-based sports, and how sports fandom works for them.

my first thought was that it probably works for a lot of systems the way, say, music taste works - different alters like different bands. different alters like different sports teams.

then i thought about our system and our lifelong hyperfixation on football (soccer-football not american football) and i was like wait. wait no. not at all actually

for us, we've supported the same club since we were a kid (and because of what football culture is like in our country, it's sort of a part of our identity). every system member who has an interest in the sport supports the same fc. hell, we make regular jokes about how we'd kick someone out of the system if they split off supporting our team's main rival.

so it's Our club, right. but that's weird to think about! because there are so many goddamn football clubs in this country! seriously, i can think of at least 7 in our city alone. Hey yeah i googled it there are over 40,000 across all the leagues. i'm not kidding. this country does not play about football which is why it's kind of funny to me that everyone collectively went "you know what... yeah let's settle for the original host's team"

idk this is silly and it's midnight i'm just wondering if there are any other systems who are nerds for sports with intense fan culture who follow this blog + how it works for you guys lolol
