Let’s talk about soap in our homes right now. One thing a lot of people are experiencing right now is dry , cracked skin from soooo much hand washing. A friend texted me last week about what she can do about it. The first thing I should have said is “it’s because you’re not using my soaps , duh”! But for realz, that’s the truth in it. There’s been a trend in the past couple of decades to use liquid soaps out of convenience. Personally I can’t use those cause they dry my skin out . When I travel , I take some of my soaps with me to save my hands from drying and cracking from using commercial liquid soaps many bathrooms are stocked with. Many people are also under the impression that their soap needs to be antibacterial for it to be effective and nothing is farther than the truth. These anti bacterial soaps have even been proven to be bad for you with continued use. 20 seconds of thorough hand washing with plain soap and water is all you need. If this is the case , why not use a soap with ingredients that don’t dry your skin out ? Just sayin.... If you’re worried about the bar soap getting soft and soggy , get a draining soap dish so the bar can dry in between uses. Rinse your bar after you’ve lathered your hands up , let the excess water drip off for a couple seconds before you place it on the draining soap dish . There! I’m now off my soap box for the day and going to tell you next that Odin soaps are restocked , smell like Bleu De Chanel , are cruelty free, palm oil free, and made with organic coconut milk and other skin nourishing ingredients. Our soaps are on sale through the end of the month for 25% off and our local shop is open for business still with slightly reduced hours.
