Monument Valley 2 #5🎆(End) - Zara The Silent Gamer
Monument Valley 2 takes place in the same strange and puzzle filled universe as the original Monument Valley. This time following a mother and her daughter as she teachers her the ways of the world before she sets out on her own.
Visually, Ustwo has done a wonderful job with the animation style, building on what they had set out in the first game. With more pops of colours and, more experimental work, especially with the shifting leaves of the tree puzzle.
While some of the puzzle can be headscratchers, I was able to finish my full playthrough in one sitting without any additional help or hints required. With the puzzles reminding me of a mixture of optical illusions and The Impossible World by M.C Escher.
The game is a simplistic point, click and drag with a mouse. However, I did later on in the game, have a mild issue with the drag mechanic. When I went to turn the world slightly, it began spinning violently. Luckily, it seemed to be a one off glitch in the system because it was fine after that.
I will always have a special place in my heart for games that use little to no dialogue but are still able to convey their stories effortlessly and effectively. And I did "aw" when mother and daughter reunited at the end. If you couldn't guess already, I really loved this game. 5/5.

Wow I just played through "Assemble with Care" and it was such a delightful little game. The actual game-play of the game is super satisfying and relaxing, but the story is what really got me. It's a simple story of a traveling repair-woman arriving in a small town for a food festival, she helps repair items for two groups of characters, the Mayor and his daughter, and a barista and her sister. We see these characters grow and interact in a story about repairing relationships. It's a short little game sitting at about ~1.5 hours long. The game is currently on sale for $1.99 too so it's a great time to get the game.
