i feel like this uniform is a good way to show how steve isnāt this charicature of the 40s tho? like coulson is in love with steve but he doesnāt understand him, he designs a uniform that honestly is kind of impractical and is nothing like what he actually used during the war, oh my god if we ignore whedon for a sec this movie is basically about how no one in the modern age understands who steve is or where he came from and i am so sad.

cadet ball is kinda like prom especially for seniors (altho anyone of any grade in high school attends), but itās for jrotc. so, jrotc is junior reserve officer training corps and basically itās a leadership/military tradition type of program (we learn drill, we can compete in exhibition, students run the class etc), and cadet ball is basically when all the schools in a brigade throw a massiveĀ party. like, our brigade has 13 schools that rep all four branches, and thereās some ceremony stuff mainly for guests of honor and cadet court (kinda like prom queen/king), and you have dinner and socialize and you get to see a bunch of hot boys in dress blues from the branches but tbh marine corps always looks the best, and a tonĀ of hot girlsĀ and then ya dance. for three hours.
since this is the only cadet ball iāll go to i went literally all out for it, like i wore my prom dress and i cleansed my skin and stuff for a whole day so when i got there i looked on point. and then i danced for three hours and sweated my makeup off sooo... eh, ya win some u lose some.
