Dear friends from the US, could you please, please mention your country when making posts regarding its history, culture, politics, Pride month, holidays, etc? More than half of tumblr users are not from/living in the US, and we make it clear which place we're talking about. You can do the same, it's not hard, I promise.
Props to the person who wrote "US Southerner" instead of just "Southerner" in their post. It communicated their meaning clearly, it allowed me to learn something new about a place I've never been to, and it showed more awareness and consideration than 95% of their fellow citizens.
You all would be surprised by how much less anti-US sentiment you find out when you do such a simple thing.
