I do this all.the.time. It's unbelievable how random people on the internet think they have the right to tell me what I shouldn't post on my page. How about you get your own account to post what you relate to? I am under no obligation to anybody to cater to what they think I should be doing on my Instagram account where I post about my recovery journey from CPTSD. You'd be surprised how many people take issue with things that I'm only sharing because I relate to it due to my own personal experience. Like, I get that you don't relate, but that is not my problem. Love the block button! 👋 Photo and Caption (⏬) Credit from @theblacksheepsurvives "You would be surprised how many people need and want your attention and the lengths they go to to get it. As survivors we already carry past unresolved stress in our day to day. We don’t need to continue to pick up more on a daily basis. We need to process and release stress instead. For me, the block button is a gift that I fully use. I don’t do draining debates and/or circular arguments. Sometimes I fall for it but I’m catching myself more and more. Catching myself feels great. I used to beat myself up over falling for it vs now I know that catching myself is a great thing. Changing how we talk to ourselves is important. Thank yourself for noticing things. Thank yourself for disengaging. Thank yourself for blocking draining people. The internet doesn’t own you. Social media also doesn’t own you. Draining people aren’t entitled to you." #socialmediaboundaries #usetheblockbutton #setlimits #saynotopeoplepleasing #knowyourself https://www.instagram.com/p/CPEMj7VjdZ-/?utm_medium=tumblr
