ReyloWeek2020: Day Two➵ Fairy Tales

Hello everyone, I want to thank you so much for 10k followers. I’ve been on this site for over 5 years now and it’s been a journey through a lot of different fandoms and interests. Thank you to everyone who’s stuck it out over the years and to my new followers too. Tumblr isn’t always the best, but it’s somewhere I can go and be myself and share my interests and creations and I’ve made (and even met!) so many friends on here.

Okay, enough sappiness. I thought it would be fun to let you guys vote for your favorite character (from any fandom I’m also in) and I will make gifsets of the 10 characters you vote for most! If I missed any, you can also write in your fave.

agreed. i think it’s insidious in a different way. in a way, it’s like how stereotypes are “positive” so people shouldn’t get offended. but it’s still a stereotype. some people want to go so against the women showing any kind of weakness route because women were thought of as weak and lesser for so many years and were represented that way in the media. but now is a point where just regular representation to be accepted by the masses is what’s needed in my opinion. for girls and women (and all people) to see themselves. in characters that are strong, sure, but also weak and emotional and ugly and selfish and funny and dorky. i think some female characters are inherently role models and should be seen and judged as such, like disney princesses (and i really have no complaints about them). but judging is such a waste of time. just enjoy the characters for what they are. just because a woman is weak doesn’t mean she’s anti-feminist and i think it’s really bad to judge art otherwise.

On the left you see the gifs without coloring (kind of obvious) and on the right the gifs after I colored them. Some people try to keep their gifs “natural”, close to the original version… It’s not my case I love vibrance and contrast and levels. I always use the same psd as base and play with it until my gif looks good enough. Sometimes it may take even more time to use my psd than do a new coloring but I want my gifs to have the same style. I can spend a long time on my gifs because i really want them to looks like they are made by me.
