⌛⏳ For anyone you feel like sharing about!
Ooh, free spaces huh? You get...hmm. Tanza and Aysel! I feel like talking about my norn kiddos today :D
"You want to know about my backstory...why, again? Are you really asking about--" (She touches a hand to her chest, indicating something you can't see beneath her armor. She lets out a very short sigh.)
"I still don't know where that connection came from. Jormag wouldn't tell me--be vague and you can manipulate the missing pieces, I guess--but they claimed it had been there my entire life, and it definitely vanished when they died. My mothers would know, maybe, but thanks to Jormag's Champion, I can't ask them now.
"So, I'm sorry if I'm making your record-keeping difficult. I can tell you other things, if you want? I grew up in the Snowden Drifts; I'm technically still attached to the Vigil; I've dyed my hair...four times now, I think? I was--" (Their mouth twists.) "Never mind. I'll stop there. If that's all?"
"You want backstory?" (She narrows her eyes.) "Fine. Just keep your mouth shut about it, please and thank you.
"I had a brother. Colin. Technically he was my cousin, but that doesn't really matter. He was the one good thing in my life from the time I was five to the time I was eleven.
"His dad, my uncle, was a piece of shit, but my parents were dead and I had nowhere else to go. Colin was more trapped than I was. He'd never known anything different. I was the reason he started questioning what he'd been taught, I think--but he would have eventually, even without me. He cared too much."
(She's staring into the distance, not at you.)
"He covered for my mistakes. He was the only person who hugged me. He was the first person I told that I was a girl. And I don't know how much of that they knew--maybe they just thought he was weak--but whatever they knew, they didn't like it.
"They tried to--well. You don't need the specifics. They destroyed him, and I killed them. Burned their houses for good measure. That's when I left." (She smiles, but only with her mouth.) "That enough backstory for you?"
