          thin lips pursed into a tight frown as kairi crouched down, peering worriedly at the brown and cream furred dog. it was true there were thorns where the roses lay, along with uneven stones pathways that could cut if you weren’t careful with where you stepped, that the canine friend could have injured itself upon -- but kairi feared worse. had it been the heartless, daring to attack animals too? she wouldn’t be surprised, but she tossed the thoughts aside. 

          ❛ i think i have some spare potions... they should be able to help a little. ❜ she reached into the pouch she kept strapped around her waist, feeling for the small glass bottles. bingo -- she still had them. she pulled the three she had out, placing them on the ground next to her. opening her arms some, she motioned to the animal, as if asking it to approach her. ❛ c’mere... ! ❜

“Ugh, don’t remind me.” Cloud groaned, his injuries starting to twinge in the memory of when his enemy tried turning him into swiss cheese. Not a fun time.
