Thanksgiving day 26.11.15
Today I celebrated thanksgiving day with the Hanzik family at a river. I met a lot of family members from my hostfamilyās side, we just ate, talked and had a nice time. I forgot to take pictures, so no pictures lol. It was just like a family gathering, with tons of food! Turkey, dressing, sweet potato, corn, green beans are typically thanksgiving food, but tbh, Iām not a big fan. I can eat it, but itās not to my taste⦠but at least I tried it! I also have thanksgiving break right now, which feels so nice to be off school a bit. Iām currently doing research paper, which is suppose to count a lot on my grades, so itās pretty important.
Well today is supposed to be a really special holiday in America, basically a ābe thankful dayā, which I donāt show too often. First of all, theres a lot of stuff that I should be thankful for, and one of them is getting the opportunity to be a foreign exchange student. Iām doing what a lot of people only dream to do, and I couldnāt be more grateful for my parents for giving me this opportunity. They probably have no idea how much I miss them lol. Iām also thankful for my brother and friends back home in Denmark, they really keep me going and support me to the fullest. Iām thankful for the exchange students, the friends Iāve made, and my hostfamily who opened their home up for me.
Theres someone special Iām really thankful for, and I donāt think I have made it through the tough times here in Texas without her. My local coordinator. Iām just so amazed how her words made me feel so much better everytime I felt down. She is always there for me and she took care of me, even though I wasnāt her student at first! Shelly momma, ya the real LC mvp! Lol
I think thats all for now, happy thanksgiving everyone !
