The first flag I ever submitted to a contest (city of Manhattan, Kansas, USA; March 2019)
from /r/vexillology Top comment: The colors were taken from the city logo. The slope represents the hills of that area, and the bike represents the bicycle-friendly community that was advertised on the official website of the city (for real, I'm not from those places and I didn't know what to include so I went for that. I could have included an apple, since the city's nickname is "the little apple", but I didn't know how to draw one...). Also the bike is shaped like an 'M' for Manhattan. Yea this wasn't a great design, but you have to start somewhere.
