The traffic. The airport. The lights. My beautiful beautiful home. The sunrise. The blackout of Fiumicino airport. We are back in Italy everybody! 

Landed. Home.

At the same time so far away from Home.

The sun was shining bright for my last day.

I ate so much. A burger and milkshake at Annie’s. Breakfast at Al’s. That’s a kid size ice cream at Nelson’s, we shared, we couldn’t finish it, the bowl’s bigger than my hand.

Mall of America. The child inside of me loved the Lego Store. There’s an effing amusement park in the middle of it. They at least admitted it was absurd. Still, I loved it.

Said goodbye to kitten who was hiding in my sleeping back. I was sad. 

Said goodbye to my sisters. Once again it was heartbreaking. I’m sure people thought I was weird for crying at baggage control.

Once again with passport and tickets in one hand, my suitcase in the other and my lovely backpack on my shoulders, ready to take another plane.

I feel like I’ve taken as many pictures from a plane window as pictures of straight roads and corn fields.

The traffic around Chicago is wild, truly. If we weren’t on a schedule I would have stopped and taken a picture with each State sign, but had to get at destination sooner rather than later. So, moving car pics it is. Wisconsin welcomes you. Fun fact. It’s the major producer of cheese in the US.

Hours of straight roads.

I slept through Pennsylvania. As soon as we entered Ohio it started raining. And then… there was nothing. At least 12 hours of nothing. Fields and fields. Every once in a while, a farm. Some cows. So many ideas for so many AU’s.

I still loved every minute of it.

Road trip to my sister’s new apartment. The car was full. Like, really full.

 I’m always amazed by these roads. You can drive for hours and hours and you are still going straight, no need to make a turn or anything.

Niagara Falls are amazing. Huge. So much water. So powerful. So many rainbows. Very wet.

A kitten paw picking out from under the couch. Two kitten paws and a milkshake for breakfast. Preparation for the main event of the summer. The wedding shower. Yep. It was nautical themed. There were anchors and ropes everywhere. Also seashells. 

The whole family was there. It was sunny, the food was great, those cupcakes were delicious, everything was perfect. I loved every second of it. I was finally legal to drink. It helped.
