i noticed in a reread that the teens’ game for urocyon, vulpes and reynard have urocyon and vulpes swapped around :0c
in the game, it’s said “vulpes in the river, urocyon in the tree, and reynard in the middle- reynard makes three.”
but in the story, vulpes rules the top of the peaks with red foxes, urocyon lives in the rivers with gray foxes. since the rest of the cast are all red foxes if i remember right, i wonder which story is the Right one… honestly i assume the game version might be true, especially with how the game is set up like all three rulers wanting to catch a stone. something symbolic about that, but we’ll see.
super interested to see what comes of it! for now i’ll lurk back in the shadows <3
I am very interested in the concept of how myths and fairytales shift over long periods of time, and how the characters change in different contexts. A lot of what I am going for with the Reynard story!

Now that it's published in-comic, I want you all to know I have been referring to this story and the characters of Reynard, Vulpes, and Urocyon as "the founding polycule" for months.
