max was having a quiet evening in, all of the wheelers were someplace else and the rest of her friends were all busy. that didn't bother max, she could read her comics and just exist. that was something that still baffled her, that things were different now and they had time to do mundane things, things that made them happy. hearing a knock at the door she remembered ms. wheeler mentioning that wayne was stopping by to help fix the garbage disposal and he may beat her home from the supermarket. hearing a knock she opened he door and stepped aside for him to come in. ❝ come on in mr. munson, ms. wheeler isn't here yet but she should be soon - she was just at the supermarket. ❞

about an hour and a half ago, joyce made the call to the local pizzeria for ten large pies. if they were going to do this, they sure as hell needed all the energy and fuel they could get. sure they had snacks at the radio station, but chips, beef jerky, cookies and water only went so far. the nearest pizza hut was only about five miles away thankfully, they happily took her order and she only needed wait about ten minutes for it to finish. luckily, a few of the workers helped her carry it to her car. she pulled back into the lot and got out, readying herself with pizzas in her arms. it was like some sort of sense was tingling for the young man when she looked up to see the ever helpful and sweet, steve harrington, so much different than his father. ❝ oh! perfect timing. could you- ❞ she didn't even need to ask before he was pulling pizza boxes from her car. ❝ you know, i'm not sure you're appreciated enough around here. thank you sweetie. ❞
