Spring...hmmm...

Apparently I don’t believe in seasons. Or at least, that’s the conclusion you’d draw based on my WIPs. Across all my WIPs, I got exactly one hit on spring, or on any word for any season.

And of course the WIP in question is one I haven’t talked much about, so this is totally context free. No idea if it makes any damn sense at all, but if it doesn’t, feel free to throw another prompt at me and I’ll try to do better next time. :)

...okay, one bit of context that’s easy to give: Dorian has been teaching Cullen to play “Stairway to Heaven” on the guitar.

And now that the lead-in is longer than the excerpt, let’s move on.

"Definitely not bad." Bullcrosses the living room to perch on the arm of the couch and watch Cullen'sfingers moving almost soundlessly over the strings. "Very not bad. It'sonly been what? A week?"

Dorian gives a small, slow nod, likehe's not even aware he's done it, but he doesn't speak, letting Cullen answer."Not quite a week."

"Then I say it's awesome."Bull smiles when Cullen looks up at him with those eyes that beg for praise. Bull'spraise. Not Dorian's. "I spent a month trying to learn the guitar once,and I never made it past 'Mary Had A Little Lamb.' You're already on songs youcan actually admit to playing."

"Well, part of one,"Cullen says. He wrinkles his nose. "But I am going to have it stuck in myhead for the rest of the day."

"We gonna do a spring clean forthe May queen?" Bull asks.
