A fun little "random, causation, or correlation?" question for you! Have you heard of many cats having increased vomiting/allergies/adverse reactions to maropitant (aka cerenia)? And of any cats you can think of, how many of them are orange? Basically, I know two other people with orange cats, and those cat and MY orange cat are all allergic or react really poorly to it.... but those are the ONLY cats anyone knows - amongst our cat-owning friends - who have a known poor reaction to it. S'weird.
gettingvetted here.
I have never heard of an adverse reaction to Cerenia. In fact, I generally tell owners that if a patient vomits while on Cerenia, it would be considered an emergency, as the drug is so strong that vomiting despite having it on board means that something is seriously wrong!

“it’s okay to cry, you know." for Kirkwall's favourite couple of menaces - because why not :D
(not quite) six sentence weekend
“It’s okay to cry, you know, Varric. We’re all friends here, no one will judge! …well, that’s not entirely true, I suppose…Aveline will probably judge.”
“Hawke.”
“Isabela will definitely judge.”
“Uh huh.”
The cave was dark, chilly. It lent a strange echo to their voices, making everything sound shaky, or weak, or afraid, but that couldn’t be right. Didn’t sound like them at all, honestly. Probably something to do with all the spiderwebs deeper in, or the way the rain continued to pound in time to the beat of the sea just outside, or even the static crackle of magic rending the air. Oh, or the shouting. The shouting wasn’t helping—it gave her that odd, funny feeling in her gut that she’d forgotten something important.
“I’m just saying you shouldn’t worry about it, that’s all. Sometimes it’s good to let that emotion show! That, um…vulnerability. There’s no shame in letting loose the waterworks, and that goes double for when you’re injured!”
“I’m not hurt, Hawke.”
That seemed to stymie her for a moment. If nothing else, it gave her a reason to stop rambling, to stop snickering, to instead pause and take stock of her surroundings. It didn’t last long. When she held still for more than a second or two, there was this awful ringing in her ears and the strangest stinging in her side. Better to keep moving, keep talking, keep Varric distracted from his injury until Anders hurried over to fix whatever it was. “Of course you are! There’s blood all over you!”
“Yeah,” Varric said, and Maker help him but he couldn’t remember a single thing in his life being half so hard as keeping that neutral expression on his face, “But it’s not mine.”
She stopped again and looked at him—really looked at him—and desperately tried to figure out what he meant by that. As though it would help her solve the puzzle, she narrowed her eyes until she was squinting, searching for some kind of hint in the blood splashed across his duster. “Then…whose is it?”
He knew his face changed then, that all the effort he’d been putting into his noncommittal shrugs and smiles had been worth jackshit in the end, and even so there wasn’t a goddamn thing he could do to stop it. Not when she kept asking him that; not when she kept forgetting; not when Sebastian was taking so goddamn long in getting Anders over there. He squeezed her hand tighter and desperately tried to find some measure of relief in the fact she was still squeezing back. “It’s yours.”
Hawke stared at him for a beat, at the blood, before slowly dropping her eyes to herself. There was an instant of perfect silence as she processed what he said, as the fog in her head lifted just enough to recognize the sound of footsteps hurrying towards them, first on sand, then on rock. “Oh,” she said, brow knitting as if confused, “Well that can’t be good.”
Extremely niche, nerdy question (I apologize if you've talked about this elsewhere already and I've missed it!) Can I have the tech specs of your home VO studio? Pretty damn sure that's a Neumann in the photo, and I'm curious about what other gear you're using. :D
I love niche, nerdy questions.
The equipment you see today was sent to me by the studio I’m working for. The important bits you probably want to know about are: Yes, that’s a gorgeous Neumann that I am terrified to hold in my hands, and it’s going straight into Pro Tools on a Mac Book Something. On that lappy, I open Zoom and connect to a session with the producers, clients, engineer, and the director. I share the screen with the engineer, and they run the whole session remotely. When we finish, they retain control of the computer and upload the files to their server.
My personal home setup is boring AF. Just a simple Blue mic, a cardboard box with some towels in it, and a blanket that I drape over the whole thing. I record into Audacity and use digital noise cancellation to clean it up before I post it.
Cats are LITERALLY the perfect animal - a species that has chosen to let itself be domesticated by humans. Because hey: warm laps, easy access to food, and a whole lot of adoration simply for existing. Big cats. Tiny cats. Sleeping cats with their perfect little feet. The noises they make when you disturb them from a nap, or when they see birds outside and chatter at them. Don't believe me? Google 'newborn kittens hissing' for adorableness. The ask box is not long enough to adore them properly.
Headcanon that when Nana runs off to England, she goes out to punk rock clubs to dance. She'll meet cute, petite brunettes that she's attracted to, but always tells them that her name is Nancy and she never stays with them longer than that specific evening.
;-;
I had to go back and read your fic because you made me remember it.
read a lie is a wish your heart makes for anyone wondering... nsfw!!!

Ah, the Ascension card, one of my favorites from the deck! It resonates with the energies of The Devil and Death cards from tarot, and speaks about shedding old layers of ourselves that may have been holding us back in our spiritual development. It signals a time of transformation and rebirth, and indicates our divine potential rising anew. You may have found yourself going through a Dark Night of the Soul type situation and this card indicates purging, healing and cleansing. Ascension represents a time where we ferociously follow the song of our soul, heal ourselves from the inside out and rise into a new level of spirituality. Be open to changes and transitions and see where this potential new course in your path can lead you!Â
