I'm so glad you wandered in. This garden is a safe space for you to just... be. It's a place to wander for a while. To pause. To breathe. To receive whatever message meets you today. On this little corner of the internet, I just want to create a place where people can arrive as themselves, myself included. To just be and to belong. I feel like this world, and a lot of spaces in it, can feel like another place where you have to 'defend' yourself - in one way or another. I want to cultivate a place where you do not have to prove that you belong, or that you're healed enough, spiritual enough, productive enough, 'high vibe' enough, or *insert stuff here* enough.
You are enough. Period.
You belong. Period.
I know that it can feel as if there's always lessons to learn, always another wound to heal, always another technique to master, always more growth to strive for. Healing and growing is a natural part of life, and that's beautiful. But I notice, within myself and others, that the idea of growth can often disguise itself as self-critisism. Growth without acceptance can become a never-ending chase. And honey, we do not chase around here... we attract. *insert big wink*
The Wandering Soul Garden isn't a place where you come to become a better or perfect version of yourself. It's a place where you can come home to yourself, to (re)discover who you are, and to remember all that you are at the core of your being. There's no end-goal here, there's just the tending to the roots, the stems, the leaves and providing the right conditions so that you can bloom as your beautiful authentic self. At your own time, at your own pace.
To quote the wise Tolkien: "Not all those who wander are lost." To me, wandering invites a deep curiosity, exploration, following your intuition and learning through experience. It invites discovery and sometimes an uncovering and peeling away of layers to realise what was there all along.
May this garden be a place for reflection, intuition, self-discovery, and a gentle reminder that every season of your journey has meaning and purpose. I think the most important thing to understand about the way I read Tarot and Oracle cards is that I do not read to predict the future. I read the energy that is in the now which has the potential of developing in the future - if that's what we choose to act on or cultivate. Because we always have free will, and we always have a choice. If there's something you don't like about the energy that I've read, then you can choose a different pile, a different outcome, or you can decide that this reading was not for you today. The messages are here to empower you to go on your own unique journey - so use your own discernment, intuition and sovereignty to decide what you do with it. A closer look at the cards:
Mint: The mint card speaks of deep Roots, firm grounding, and a refusal to give in. The tenacity of the mint herb can be the despair of many gardeners, but it's abundance can also be an encouraging omen. Life's obstacles can be frustrating but mint reminds you that stubbornness can get you through. Consider your current situation. Someone may be trying to uproot you or remove you from something you're passionate about. Don't let them. Make your own decisions and don't let someone else steal your agency. Dig in and be strong, stubbornness isn't necessarily a negative trait
Tend: tending your garden is an important step in creating a thriving ecosystem. Maintaining a garden means weeding, stripping away dead flowers and leaves, fertilizing, and pinching back overgrowth to redirect energy. It's a cooperative experience. The Tend card is a reminder that you also deserve maintenance. It's important to review the different parts of your life every once in awhile with a keen eye, looking for areas you can tend for positive results. Just as you guide a garden, your energy also deserves loving guidance and encouragement. You may need to weed toxicity out of your life. Be discerning about where you put your energy. Ask for guidance and listen to the messages the universe sends you. What areas of your life need support? What areas are threatened by toxicity?
Mushroom: a mushrooms main purpose is to aid in decomposition. They use enzymes to break down decaying organic matter, feeding themselves in the process. Mushrooms and other fungi are also part of the greater mycelial network, a vast interconnected network of "roots" that transfers information to not only other fungi, but plants and trees as well. The mushroom card supports you as you break down problems in the smaller issues and work to solve them separately to make incremental advances in life. The discoveries you make with every step forward can be used to nourish and enrich future projects. Have you run into a challenge that may best be addressed if broken down into smaller pieces?
*my personal interpretation of the mushroom card in this position is to lean on your support network, and to learn from past experiences and let them fuel you instead of discarding them

I'm actually getting the urge to pull from my Classic Horror Oracle. I'm so excited to see what is going to come through. My Chemical Romance has always been so near and dear to my heart.
I don't know what movie this is from, actually! I don't recognize any of the imagery, but that's okay. There's plenty to see here on this card.
The card that's come through is DANCE.
Things that come to mind while I'm looking at it are "danse macabre" and dancing plagues. There is a kind of mania in dancing. Something so beautiful can also be cause for despair, even death. But there is also a kind of revelry in it, even so. A certain "I will go down with the ship" aspect, only the ship is yourself. I'm hearing the lines "we're damned after all; through fortune and flame we fall."
The song "Mama" seems relevant to this card, as I get motherly vibes from the woman with the cane on the card. These people she instructs seem rather doll-like and rigid. Not real, in a sense, or being instructed on how to not be real.
But the woman central in this card, to me, is the one in the top left of the card and the woman in the bottom near the middle. At the bottom, she seems to be within the spell of this mother figure. But, she is non-conforming compared to the others. She has passions she is unwilling to give up. She will fight to keep them, lest she comply and die like the others are inevitably destined to do.
The mother figure in this card also calls to mind the woman from recent concerts. Unfortunately, I'm unable to attend their concerts, and I haven't watched videos of performances. But, I have seen a handful of gifs about with her in them. I think they're recent, from London or somewhere in/around the UK.
What stands out to me in this reference book is: "Bad luck isn't brought by broken mirrors, but broken minds." And, the implication that there is inspiration to be found in unwavering devotion.
According to the reference book that comes with this oracle deck, this is referring to the movie Suspira. I've not seen it!
You cannot break free without inspiration. Gerard's obsession with Joan of Arc, of going down in purifying flame. Gerard finds this kind of inspiration in her, and it's that kind of inspiration that's coming through.
This makes me wonder: what is significant about this inspiration? What is being done with it? I've gone with my Tarot of the Abyss deck, and three cards fell out.
KING OF PENTACLES + TWO OF CUPS IN REVERSE + THREE OF PENTACLES IN REVERSE
This King of Pentacles looks particularly contrite, but also incredibly adept. He is a magician of sorts, one who can conjure up the most perfect form of something. This perfection comes from practice. This inspiration is really coming from the heart, and it is being wielded expertly. The final product of this inspiration is going to be a real work of art.
There is a separation of some relationship. It could be related to a relationship with a person, but to me this feels much more internal and personal. A separation from a thought process, idea, or practice. There is an element of fate being sealed coming through here. The tumblr post "get in loser, we're going to live past the end of our myth" comes to mind.
The Three of Pentacles depicts three hands marked with pentacles pulling on a rope. In this position, it looks like they're pulling something out of the ground. A corpse, perhaps. I hear "resurrection."
This inspiration will give way to a new way of being. It will be transformative, transcendent. Rising from ashes through collaborative effort and passion.
What signs should we expect to see? What comes of it? I'm drawing from my Angel Oracle...

Descending. Something underway will not rewind, but will wind down in a way that does not lead to a final conclusion. I hear "returning to square one, but not starting from scratch." I hear "getting ready to play the game again."
I think perhaps the appearance of a new "character" will be a sign that the fruits of this passion are near. I get the sense of someone extending their hand out, giving it to someone who will help lead the way. I'm getting "search light" and also "letting hair down." I'm getting the vision of that woman mentioned above eschewing her role in a fascist and authoritarian system, choosing relentless passion relentlessly.
I think the end result of this passion will be more people turning towards this idea. Do not succumb to what is inauthentic to you. Do not accept living in a system that is hostile to life and everything that makes it worth living. Refuse it, break it, kill it and bring back something better.
Let's be real, we all want to know: does this mean MCR 5? I feel drawn to my Deep, Dark, and Dangerous Oracle...
MERMAID
Well, I'd been thinking as I shuffled my cards that if I got a response that had an instrument in it (somehow, I'm not even sure there are any cards with instruments on them), I'd take that as a yes.
The mermaid on this card doesn't have an instrument, but the voice itself is an instrument and that is a common thread between mermaids across cultures, along with their beauty and mesmerizing allure.
So, I think that's a yes. And I think it speaks to the quality of MCR 5 as well.
Overall, the message I feel I'm getting is that there is inspiration to create something new.
A lot of creativity has been exerted in recent tours and promotion, but I believe that My Chemical Romance has more to say on these themes which haven't been touched on with their existing music. There is a point that will be driven home, an epiphany that will be passed on to the rest of us through new music. I think its impact will be explosive.๐ฅ
