She'd planned out this surprise for Sookie for a few weeks now, carefully scoping out various clubs in the state area until she found what she had been looking for. She'd sent a text to Sookie when she'd awoken at sunset, letting her know she had a surprise for her when her shift was done and that she'd be taking her out for a night on the town.
The vampiress had found a gay club, just an hour away from Bon Temps. Sure, she could've taken her to one of the vampire run ones--but then it was likely she'd have to threaten one or two of her kind to get lost. Possibly even the Viking himself. But that was riskier, and more likely to place Sookie in an uncomfortable position. Sonja had wanted a place free of politics, where they didn't care who or what their patrons were provided they followed the law. She'd been worried it would become a road trip to find such a venture, instead of a little known one not too far away to provide a perfect surprise date night.
The time on the clock told her she had a little bit left to get ready herself before her fairy was home, more than enough to get dressed appropriately for the club. She'd finished lacing up the sides of her leather pants when she heard the lock turn in the door, the vampiress grinned with eager anticipation before striding towards the door.
"How did your shift go?" Sonja greeted her with a kiss then took Sookie's coat for her and hung it up in the closet. "Didn't wear you down too much I hope, not for your surprise."
